We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and maintain a 100+ site, global network. While supporting our users, the person in this role will be working with state-of-the-art network technologies including Cisco SD-WAN/ ISE, and Palo Alto Firewalls. Deploy network services and solutions based on business, strategic, and technical requirements.
Monitor, operate, and maintain LAN, WAN, Remote Access, Firewall and VPN systems globally
Monitor the global network environment for security risks and takes appropriate action to mitigate them
Automation in network infrastructure management – script, ansible, python programming or other methods to improve operational efficiency.
Monitor security bulletins and perform security audits of current network infrastructure and applications perform applicable remediation
Participate in network deployment projects
Perform administrator duties for Solar Winds Orion, Palo Alto Panorama, and LiveAction network management systems
Participate in Network Vulnerability Remediation activities
Participate in real estate related technical projects
Identify, recommend and lead continuous network infrastructure improvement efforts
Act as an escalation point Operations teams and a mentor to other Network Engineers
Support NOC for priority cases as necessary
Advanced level experience working with Cisco IOS – NXOS, routing/switching and WiFi
Minimum 8 years of industry experience as a Network engineer working on LAN, WAN, Wireless, SD-WAN technologies.
Configuration and support of application aware networks leveraging solutions that include SD-WAN, SDN/Data Center and SDN/LAN and the associated orchestration and control tools
Scripting and network orchestration (python, ansible) programming highly desired
Familiarity and experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco,) IDS/IPS, transparent proxy and explicit Web proxy, and network optimization/acceleration
Experience in capacity planning, QoS, and intelligent/optimal path selection methodologies
Knowledge and use of network monitoring tools such as Solarwinds Orion, Panorama, Cisco Prime, Wireshark (or similar network packet capture tools)
Security protocols (IPSec), encryption technologies (3DES, AES)
LAN / WAN Protocols (Ethernet, MPLS, DMVPN, VPN)
Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, etc
In depth understanding of network protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPSEC, HSRP, VDC, 802.11, 802.1x, SNMP
Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Hardware: Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Bluecoat, Riverbed
Software: Cisco IOS/NXOS, PAN-OS, SolarWinds, Wireshark
