Principal responsibilities
Extensive project management skills and experience of managing large and complex projects
Strong people manager and broad experience in managing large teams of different work streams
Exposure to manager diverse global team is desired.
Multiple strong examples of the delivery of on time and on budget projects that achieve business case stated outcomes –a driver with bias towards delivery at pace and controlling project outcomes
In depth experience of working in a banking environment
Good stakeholder management experience, especially impactful communication, influencing and running project governance Implementation, change management and benefits realization.
Ensures the analysis and interpretation of comprehensive information in order to provide commercially viable and sustainable solutions.
Plans effectively around delivery constraints and optimises the plan to maximise benefits and minimise risk. Develops the plan within constraints, considering the delivery approach, key milestones and dependencies within the plan, requirements and scope, effort and resources, budgets and quality.
Challenging business intent in a constructive manner, anticipating risks and issues.
Evaluates project performance based on management information, identifies need for intervention and initiates intervening action when required, takes accountability for project quality.
Demonstrate and apply excellent business domain knowledge.
Promotes the most appropriate sustainable customer solution even when less profitable for HSBC in the short-term.
Deepens customer insight by gathering information to shape approaches to customers Demonstrates understanding of analytical tools and techniques to prepare and analyse management reports; identifying factors that are putting the program off track, monitor and share progress with stakeholders.
Uses organisational knowledge and contacts to help stakeholders maximise networking opportunities.
Conscientiously tracks progress of mitigating actions for risks/issues/ dependencies to abolish or minimise impact on programme outcome and highlights any scope change risks/issues/ dependencies as they arise.
Continuously reassessing risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
Ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring, addressing areas of concern in conjunction with Risk and relevant line colleagues, and also by ensuring that actions resulting from points raised by internal or external audits, and external regulators, are correctly implemented in a timely fashion.
Ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.
Liaising with Compliance department about business initiatives at the earliest opportunity to mitigate compliance risk
Exposure to Agile Methodologies.
PMP/ Prince- 2/PGMP Certification
ACP/ PSM Certification- Desirable

Requirements
Graduate of any discipline with minimum 8 years of experience in Project and Program Management.
