We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Associate Lead Architect.

This role is responsible for Platform Architecture in order to deliver distinctive value using current and future digital technical capabilities. The Senior Lead Architect will be responsible for aligning a holistic Wholesale Platform Architecture roadmap with customers, prioritizing deliverables (both functional and non-functional) and securing/prioritizing funding to achieve customer outcomes. All Architects within WSIT Digital Platform will functionally report to the WSIT Digital Lead Architect.The Senior Lead Architect will be accountable for undertaking Digital Platform Infrastructure activity to deliver a best in class technical product. They will be responsible for defining and managing the Architecture roadmap and communicating the platform strategy and vision for future WSIT Digital Hosting Platform which will be the ecosystem for rapid development and deployment of digital propositions and applications. The role holder will be leading the delivery pipeline for a number of DevOps development teams to provide market-leading services that can be leveraged to build exceptional product experiences. They would actively work on reducing the cost base for product development and usage. They will be required to ensure compliance of the products and services with mandatory and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will:
Implementing WSIT Architecture Product Roadmap.

Delivering new IT services, exploiting Cloud and infrastructure technologies

Migrating applications to IaaS / PaaS platforms on internal and external cloud.

Driving a greater utilization of virtualization & lower cost storage.

Determine business requirement and influence solution towards Infrastructure future state model

Delivering end to end technical infrastructure designs, ensuring Non-Functional Requirements are realized and validated

Verify impact to adjacent services/systems and Validate deployment and support model

Review design and gain approval via the Wholesale Infrastructure Review Board.

Ensure products adheres to policies, patterns, blueprints and frameworks

Build product Digital cloud platforms/services ensuring alignment with globally defined patterns/blueprints

Working with architects to reviewing changes made by GCP to understand the impact on Digital platforms/services

Providing ad-hoc consultancy advice to Digital projects on the adoption of GCP cloud & IKP on premises infrastructure.

Achieving targets and meeting expectations whilst supporting and encouraging others to do the same.

Publish Architecture product roadmap to the stakeholders

Assess solution viability and recommend strategies and tactics to satisfy customer needs, championing and articulating the merit of each, defending in funding and prioritization both to IT and the business.

Manage development of product roadmaps in support of the business appetite.

Build and maintain effective business relationships across the global businesses and regional teams, understand key drivers and metrics, and effectively prioritize competing demands from a number of lines of business.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

15+ year IT experience of application development and service placements.

2+ year working experience as a platform architect for cloud and hosting platform.

Demonstrable experience working with cloud and Kubernetes as architect capacity.

Demonstrable experience of shaping products for platform solutions.

Experience working as a cloud architect.

Experience of working in an Agile and DevOps environment.

Cloud Platforms at least one (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Alibaba Cloud)

Containerisation Capabilities – Docker, Kubernetes, Service Mesh and Microservices

Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery – Jenkins, GitHub and Nexus.

Databases – MongoDB

Networking – Cisco, TCP/UDP, Broadcast/Multicast, LAN/WAN, SDN
