We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Project Manager.
In this role, you will:
Managing the project initiation, approach, budgets, risks, issues, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments and changes to the system resulting in the final delivery.
Supporting Technology teams to manage delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, resourcing, dependencies, communications and budgets.
Providing management to maintain a focus on how the project aligns to wider programme objectives, where appropriate.
Responsible for project reporting, risks, issues, and dependencies to the management, stakeholders and Digital Steering Committees. Making recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization.
Ensuring adherence to standard controls through Non Functional Requirements and drive teams to achieve compliance and framework, capability management, security controls and technology architecture designs.
Establishing effective governance and controls.
Support the Technical Project Manager with day-to-day task prioritization, coordination and representing DSP at various forums.
Lead the Security Platform team along with the Technical Project Manager and work as the key bridge between the various Sub-value streams and business.
Take ownership of problems and escalate to senior management if and when required.
Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts effectively and efficiently
Schedule and conduct team meetings/discussions and proper documentation such as meeting minutes in order to follow up on action items.
Support in knowledge transferring and enable cross training sessions when required.
Set up controls for SMs and team members to adhere and follow the PMO standards which were laid by the bank.
Contribute to the development of peers.
Manage a high performing niche-skilled team with global presence and develop communication and reporting mechanisms to streamline project management process flow and ensuring that assigned projects are developed and implemented according to group and department standards and within the Project Schedule.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Always comply with HSBC internal controls and group Compliance.
Assist with the development and monitoring of a well-defined programme/project plan, identifying the key milestones and assist in the assigning of role/task responsibilities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Proven track record in managing the release cadence and deliver outcomes via the agreed roadmap.
Demonstrate good knowledge of Programme/Project Management Framework, supporting the creation of detailed plans including key activities and milestones using Clarity and other HSBC tools.
Knowledge of Project Management Practices, Stakeholder Management, Schedule management and Cost management along with HSBC internal governance processes is a must.
Manage progress against Project Schedule and assess any roadblocks which would surface and hinder project deliveries.
Ensure Risks, issues and problems are managed and escalated efficiently with a minimum service disruption.
Develop a good level of understanding of the DSP components/systems and their associated IT project management requirements.
Understand and adhere to HSBC policies and standards when dealing with customers (internal/external) and how change drives benefits for HSBC, its customers and other stakeholders.
Develop communication and reporting strategy plans, coordinate between stakeholders for progress review updates and conduct key discussions and follow required documentation and approval processes.
Be knowledgeable about the HSBC strategy, framework, business needs and emerging trends
Demonstrates high standards of professionalism in the quality of written and personal communication with resource teams, business units and delivery partners.
