We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Delivery Head.
In this role, you will:
This position is to be part of International Payments team within Global Payment Solutions (GPS) Technology which supports high value core processing, messaging, SWIFT and sanctions functions. The team responsibility is to look after L1/L2 production incidents globally. As we move towards transformation of existing production support model to ‘Production Engineering’ which follows a ‘Follow-the-Sun Model’, this will have an opportunity to work and learn from teams with mature process and tools to ensure the best-in-class deliverables – modelled on Site Reliability Engineering.
Lead the L1/L2 Production Engineering teams in India and China aligned to International Payments.
Contribute to team objectives, supporting and leading activities to achieve shared goals and be measured against key performance metrics for the teams.
Implementation and coordination of the target operating model for automation, toil reduction, incident reduction, service stability, adoption of modern technologies, monitoring and alerting.
Be accountable for the production availability and stability of critical payment platforms.
Provide full scope of the day-to-day Production Support service including resolution of the live incidents as well as post-resolution problem management activities.
Provide workarounds/resolutions with active participation in crisis calls.
Technical expertise in finding root cause of major system problems – inputs based on business/operations requirements.
Lead by example with a high technical competency and be comfortable to be hands on when needed.
Be the face-off to business and IT stakeholders within region.
Act as a change agent to drive cultural and mind-set shifts in resistant teams and individuals
Maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including, but not limited to Risk, Change Delivery, Supplied Management, IT to support service and product development initiatives
Maintain strong influence over partners to ensure continued stability across the critical payments infrastructure
Ensuring use of best practices are followed by complying with Group Compliance Policy.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Strong analytical / troubleshooting skills.
Experience in Agile/ DevOps environment and in assisting in production support.
Good communication skills and be able to efficiently communicate in the production/crisis calls.
Understanding of customers’ needs and delivering excellent customer service.
Proven triage capability under pressure, able to make strong priority judgement at runtime balancing contending demands.
Strong understanding of technology layers in application landscape, storage, OS, network, database, application.
Demonstrable, excellent, spoken & written communication skills across global organization.
Ability to lead technical conversations with various technical support groups.
Experience of managing a wide spectrum of stakeholders and show ability to manage upwards.
Experience in managing the technical team.
