We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior System Administrator
Job Profile:
Share technical knowledge and skills with members to perform tasks as expected
Meet the delivery standards as per the agreement that includes quality of deliverables, appropriate documentation
Participate in POCs and other technical initiatives
Manage projects using dev ops methodologies as well as traditional approaches
Experience with DevOps tools such as GITHub, Confluence, and Jira
Participate in all technical tasks defined for the team as and when appropriate, ensure completion
Be aware of the ongoing infrastructure issues and vigilant to avoid / minimize downtime of services
Understand business, environments, shared services to prioritize incidents
Ensure the team is educated of critical / high priority applications, escalation procedures, and best practices
Interact with application teams and other infrastructure teams to make sure the requirements are addressed in time.
Work with regions for MIRs and SIPs
Identify operational risks and contribute to mitigate the same.
Provide technical inputs to assist create project plans & schedules, effort estimates, requirement gathering & analysis, risk analysis.
Identify sustainable cost savings & efficiency gains that can be achieved in terms of FTE requirement through automation of manual tasks, removal of duplicate tasks, improvements in processes
Identify service delivery issues (SLA Slippages, Quality etc.), and implement corrective actions
Periodically review and update existing process / project documentation, process workflows, document templates, communication template and checklists.
Prepare new best practices documents, technical, and processes documents for project / technology as applicable.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Pivotal Cloud Foundry also beneficial.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in UNIX infrastructure.
Expert level knowledge of UNIX (AIX/Solaris/Linux)
Expert level knowledge of Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server and Veritas Netbackup Client
Strong knowledge of host based SAN migrations
Very good understanding of SAN configuration EMC/Hitachi LUNs on UNIX (AIX/Solaris/Linux) servers
Ability to develop simple/complex shell scripts as per requirements.
Ability of support DR tests
Effective in dealing with complex Tasks/Issues for business critical services
Proven experience in technically guiding teams in productivity driven environment.
Proven experience in managing and building relationship with business partners and customer service.
Should understand & have proven record of how technology adds value to the business and ultimately the end customer.
Should possess industry standard certifications for UNIX/Cluster Technologies.
Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities.
Strong technical knowledge in respective technology.

Consolidate and reduce infrastructure complexity
Develop Cloud based infrastructure platforms and deliver infrastructure, platform etc. “as a Service” by working with Business & other DevOps teams
Determine the strategic direction and execute in each of the Technology areas under Enterprise Services responsibility
Risk and Cost Management
Ensure Service Quality Targets are met for offered services
Business stakeholder management to define product roadmaps and market available capabilities
Write development code, understand a DevOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipeline, and build automated test scripts (for infrastructure products and upgrades), and build automation interfaces between systems
