Your Role and Responsibilities
Establishes plans, defines approaches, develops designs or develops tests, and conducts engineering/scientific analysis on moderately complex problems. Has leadership responsibilities, when appropriate. His responsibilities include providing process support at our RCC/CRV suppliers and providing technical support to the AP open market buy and MVS suppliers. This includes performing quality management, qualification and problem resolution.
Within broad objectives, develops detailed engineering plans to meet product or process requirements.
Solves moderately complex engineering problems. Develops innovative designs.
Participates in project planning for large projects. May take lead role for smaller projects.
Documents own work and assures timely communication to all affected areas.
Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Environment:
Has professional theoretical, conceptual and applied knowledge in a specific engineering field and Service parts processes Requires a BS degree in engineering and related experience. Parts repair and vendor management experience preferred.
Applies professional knowledge related to moderately complex engineering processes and tools used within the functional organization.
Develops within broad objectives, new or improved moderately complex, test methods, processes or improved production.
Understands processes within the functional organization and is responsible for a specific set of parts for repair/warranty
Communication/Negotiation:
Position requires frequent interaction and collaboration on technical issues with both department and functional peers, and industry technology suppliers.
Negotiation may be required to resolve moderately complex and cross functional technical issues.
May assist account teams with technical skills/knowledge.
Effectively communicates plans/results to functional management as required.
Problem Solving:
Position requires analytical ability to conduct experiments, analyze problems and recommend solutions.
Utilizes skills and experience to anticipate and avoid moderately complex technical problems.
Proactively provides for continuous procedure and process improvement.
Contribution and Leadership:
When appropriate, position requires coordination of activities of less experienced or less knowledgeable engineering and technical staff.
Directly influences others in the function or on a team regarding solutions to moderately complex technical/engineering problems.
Has responsibility for engineering processes and continuous improvement plans in the department.
Develops project work plans to insure requirements and schedules are met.
Impact on business and Scope:
Accountable for completion of team or departmental technical objectives on schedule and within cost and quality objectives.
Contributes to and influences projects that are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, or impact future costs or expenses.
May have budgetary or expense responsibility
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
BS degree in engineering (Electrical , Mechanical or Production )
Professional theoretical, conceptual and applied knowledge in a specific engineering field.
Applies professional knowledge related to moderately complex engineering processes and tools used within the functional organization.
Ability to work with international project teams accommodating different cultures and time zones, i.e. flexibility in working hours
Fluent in English, both verbal as well as in writing.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Fluent in English
Parts repair and vendor management experience preferred.
