Your Role and Responsibilities

System Administrators are the gatekeepers to the many systems that run our company and our clients. As a System Admin with IBM, you will have the opportunity to provide high-value IT services and leverage our leading-edge technology portfolio in our global network. Your work has a direct impact on the day-to-day productivity of our business by ensuring integrity of, and access to, our most important resource: data.

As a system administrator you will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable day-to-day operation of contracted systems and servers including installation and configuration of hardware, software and subsystems including for proactively checking and monitoring to avoid system outage.

Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting ESX issues related to storage, network and performance issues

Manage Active Directory group, user and computer objects, the AD Schema

Direct Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, auditing, evidence capture and storage activities

Administrative and troubleshooting basic knowledge of Intel based micro processing

Windows 2003/2008/2008 R2 Server support and troubleshooting

Load and deploy new servers

Create and maintain Windows server images

Work with engineers and project leads to implement new systems, policies, standards and practices

Document server administration processes and procedures

Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience of in VMware ESXi 6.x and Virtual Center 6.x servers, vCops

Experience with third party software and hardware inventory applications

Programming and scripting skills and experience, preferably in Shell, python and windows powershell

Solid experience with capacity planning and virtualization of different types of server roles, applications, and databases

Experience with performance monitoring, reporting, and analysis

Experience with installing and updating HBA, BIOS, and system firmware

+2 years’ experience with networking and system administration knowledge.

Sr experience with Windows Server/Windows OS management and trouble shooting.

Sr experience Active Directory and LDAP.

Experience of windows job scheduling, monitoring the windows processes.

Disaster recovery implementations.

Solid understanding and experience in system/network security

Ability to produce high-quality documentation about solution design

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Competencies about Cloud, hybrid Cloud, multi-Cloud infrastructure solution design patterns

Robust knowledge of on-premises Infrastructures, networking, service solutions and monitoring

Understand of Containerization and Docker

Competencies about container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, RH OpenShift)

Understand of DevOps practices
