The mission of the Corporate Information Technologies Department (CIT) is to use technology to enable IFC’s strategic priorities. By acting as the technology partner and business enabler, the department provides state-of-art IT solutions to support IFC’s operations.

We are looking for a highly motivated and versatile IT professional to join the Data & Analytics team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse team of highly skilled technical professionals and contribute to the IFC’s priorities. This position is based in Chennai, India.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Works alongside with the business stakeholder and development teams, providing delivery and technical expertise to develop end to end data and analytical solutions
• Lead the overall analysis, design, development and deployment of data solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members in the areas of data analysis, data engineering, data modeling and reporting.
• Lead the elicitation of technical requirements, perform gap analysis for data availability, define data consumption for both operational data needs as well as analytical or aggregated data warehouse needs
• Create or review data requirements documentation, data mappings and design documents to ensure data needs are accurately represented
• Oversee the establishment of ingestion methods, data storage, and data transformation methods based on business needs
• Develop, manage, and maintain processes, procedures, and documentation for Application Support activities.
• Develop and deliver compelling PoCs and demos to achieve buy-in from relevant stakeholders and to communicate the same to implementation teams
• Maintain a consistent view of enterprise data definitions and vocabularies to ensure consistency in process and quality
• Help Program Managers plan and schedule work program deliverables including resources and timeline using the appropriate SDLC methodologies including agile scrum.
• Work closely with application development teams to ensure knowledge of data flows, impact of changes to application and ensures data accuracy

Selection Criteria

• Master’s degree with 5 years relevant experience or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
• Mandatory 4+ years of experience in Data & Analytics area with exposure to data engineering, implementing data warehouses/data marts and data virtualization
• Must be hands-on with analyzing large volumes of data sets and experienced in data modeling, warehouse/data mart implementations and preparing data for analytics/reporting
• Should be experienced using at least one of the Data Virtualization technologies (Dremio/Tibco Composite)
• Must have experience with ETL tools (Informatica, ADFS) building data ingestion and transformation
• Must have experience in financial data domain
• Must be highly proficient in the use of SQL and be able to write complex queries
• Exposure to modern data applications based on cloud technologies (Azure data lake, ADFS) is highly preferred.
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools (Tableau, BO, Power BI) is preferred
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals.
