Role Description
Role Description: Senior Technical Support Engineer
You should be able to understand client’s requirement, customize product configurations and resolve configurational issues quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. You would be directly interacting with end customer.
You will be operating cyber security products, customizing various reports/dashboards, conducting daily health checks.
You shall also be responsible for coordinating with Technical Support teams in dealing with production issues that may be related to infra/operations problems or application configuration issues.
Role and responsibilities
Daily Product health check (All days except weekends)
Console Configuration and Node onboarding (Agent- >Console setup)
Create JIRA ticket for new node setup for internal teams (Load sharing)
Customize and setup report (One time/Ongoing)
Build dashboard from TE (One Time)
Rolling out product updates for customers: usually happens quarterly
Onboarding customer consoles and agents
Daily/Weekly meeting to gather new requirement (report or new lic.)
Receive/resolve JIRA (initiated by US counterparts)
Daily stand-up with ExpertOps (US team) – Evening India
Ready to work in USA shift (fixed)
Shift Coverage: (One Shift): 5:30 pm – 2:30 AM IST (M-F)
Technical skills requirements
The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,
Troubleshooting with Linux operating system issues, filesystem, network, processes, memory, etc.
Troubleshooting Windows operating system issues, filesystem, network, processes, memory, etc.
Understanding and troubleshooting of basic networking: TCP/IP, switches, subnets, etc
Familiarity with CLI (command line interface) based environment i.e. experience with popular unix commands
Understanding client/server computing
Operational understanding of Cloud infrastructure like Azure and/or AWS
Troubleshooting Linux operating system issues, filesystem, network, processes, memory, etc. SysV Init/systemd
Nice-to-have skills
Basic understanding of Cyber security Domain (CIA, File integrity Mgmt., Security Configuration Mgmt.) would be added advantage
Basic understanding of and experience with Cloud technology like Azure and AWS.
Familiarly with the Java application support e.g. Java logs and ability to interpret jason config files
Required Qualifications
Experience in product operations and Product administration experience
Basic SQL/DB knowledge, queries, tables, etc
Knowledge of many different IT subject areas, such as Server OS (Windows and Linux/UNIX) administration, network device administration
