Designation: Support-General Purchase (SGPur)

Position description:
To support the SCM Function across the Jakson Group in General Purchase. Delivering these as per defined SLA and zero errors and discrepancy. Also publish performance/ Indirect Purchase and report status dashboard and KPI results for the same.

Primary Responsibilities:
Explore new potential vendors, PO creation, amendment, closure (as per TAT).

Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.

Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.

Track orders and ensure timely delivery.

Review quality of purchased products.

Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.

Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.

Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.

Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.

Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.

Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends.

Educational qualifications preferred

Category: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree

Field specialization: Engineering

Degree: Bachelor of Technology – BTech

Required work experience

Industry: Graduate/PG (3-5 Year Experience) or Diploma with 4-6 Years Supply Chain Experience in SAP environment.

Required Knowledge:
SAP experience in MM Module is mandatory

Required Skills:
Proven work experience in General Purchase/ Indirect team (HR/ Admin, IT & marketing).

Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)

Hands-on experience with purchasing software (e.g. Procure-Engine or Jaggaer)

Understanding of Purchasing / supply chain procedures

Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses

Negotiation skills
