Description – Software Engineer, IT Site Reliability Engineering

As a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Software Engineer, you’ll be working in a high performing technical environment combining software and systems to develop next generation engineering solutions to operations problems that are deployed in the public, private, or hybrid cloud. You will be tasked to build application solutions that deliver insights from massive scale data in real time.

SRE Software Engineer will be responsible for engaging with various domain leads and subject matter experts in IT, identifying their needs for observability and automation, ensuring successful delivery of capabilities/solutions that enable Site Reliability Engineering team to deliver on their One-Experience roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of infrastructure software integration solutions

Troubleshoot, debug, and analyze application code and infrastructure integration issues

Use the latest web development technologies to build fast and intuitive user experiences

Plan and execute deployment of system features, monitor for successful integration, and maintain the system throughout its lifecycle

Remain current on web technology trends, and rapidly learn and apply new skills and tools during the life cycle of a project

Organize work and manage resources to tackle multiple business priorities across the company

Skills/Qualifications

Required

Strong experience integrating java applications using SOAP, HTML and REST

Expertise in AWS API Gateway or similar applications providing API gateway solutions

Experience with application containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

Strong database development skills in RDBMS like MySQL and PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and Cloud database technologies, with ability to develop complex and efficient SQL and NoSQL queries

Strong development experience & capability using Python, JavaScript (jQuery, Angular JS), HTML, CSS

Experience AWS platform, SQS, S3, RDS, Lambda and other services

Experience with CI/CD pipeline, GitLab, source code management and release engineering practice

Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a complex environment with competing priorities is required

Nice to have

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus

Experience leading medium to large projects by bringing together the right perspectives, identifying roadblocks, and integrating feedback from clients and team members

Education and certification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

8+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years of experience in developing Application Integration based solutions using REST API and Webhooks
