Responsibilities:
Main responsibilities as technical expert
Serves as the primary assigned technical expert on cloud data warehouse by working to resolve assigned issues within that system
Takes ownership of the system by ensuring they understand the platform fully and can be the main point of contact and primary responsible with very little or no supervision or internal assistance
Acts as the cloud data warehouse architect, overseeing all work done to the system by any team members or agents, and is solely responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operation of the system
Builds and maintains the roadmap strategies and also plans and executes all future improvement or expansion projects for the cloud data warehouse
Potentially works with external partners and consultants on the design and planning of the implementation of new features and upgrades to take advantage of the full functionality of the system
Acts as the primary point of contact and central coordinator for any additional team members who may also be working with the same platform
Acts as the cloud data warehouse platform architect, overseeing all work done to any of the system by any team members or agents, and is solely responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operation of the platform
Troubleshooting and resolution of complicated cloud data warehouse platform problems
Comprehensive expertise in data structures, data relationships, and data modeling practices and standards
Technical expertise responsibilities
Develops and maintains training programs and documentation for IT users
Acts as the primary technical resource for IT projects in their BI platform system of expertise
Ensures system security, Kemin IT policies, and application best practices are followed and in place
Performs periodic audits of BI platform systems to ensure compliance to policies and standards
Assesses performance issues of current systems or products and ability to provide solutions to the issues
Generates future roadmap of BI platform solutions and integrations
Responsible for the planning, development, and execution of projects to expand or improve the cloud data warehouse platform or any systems within the platform
Other responsibilities as IT technical expert
Understanding of how information technology systems work together and integrate within the BI platform infrastructure
Assists IT management in guiding the organization’s use of technology in the BI platform
Finds, obtains, and uses resources effectively to resolve problems
Assist with the setup and installation of BI platform
General awareness of latest technology trends and technologies/methodologies
Performs their responsibilities under general supervision and guidance from the WW IT Enterprise Data Management Team Manager
Other Functions
Work with other Kemin departments such as, but not limited to,
other IT support personnel
members of IT projects team
members of IT Enterprise Software Development team
members of the IT infrastructure team
all Kemin employees
software vendors, consultants and/or contractors
Ability to fulfill different roles within a team while participating in multiple teams simultaneously
Ability to retain and keep secret any confidential or privileged information obtained during the course of work within the global IT department
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT – BE. BTech, BCA, BSc etc.,
5+ years’ experience working on a BI platform system
Demonstrated experience working with PowerBI, Power Query, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory
Azure DP203 certification is a plus
Advanced knowledge of data structures, data relationships, and data modeling practices and standards
Candidate must be a customer oriented, team player, have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Research, understand, participate, and contribute to the goals and mission of the IT Department and the company as a whole
Perform all responsibilities of this position while continually presenting a positive and professional example for the rest of the team and the company
Ability to train users at different skill levels
Experience with help desk ticketing software
Experience with incident troubleshooting and escalation
Possess effective prioritizing and project management skills
