IT SAP Operational Engineer
Position Description: SAP Engineer (Basis), responsible for SAP technical support and project responsibilities
Summary:
This team player possesses a breadth of knowledge required to provide support and consulting related to new and existing SAP technologies. The candidate is capable of working with new software products, and provides production support for SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ERP; BW; BW Accelerator; APO; SCM, SAP TPM, SAP BODS, Opentext, Solution managerl products.
Applicants must have the ability to work closely with individuals at various levels within the organization, both internal and external to Kimberly-Clark; be enterprise focused; demonstrate cultural sensitivity; are process and results orientated; have solid troubleshooting skills; exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills; are resilient; and can deal effectively with confrontation.
Responsibilities:
Production support of Kimberly-Clark’s global SAP deployment, as well as periodic project work. Problem resolution and root cause analysis. Act as a SME for the assigned landscape and ready to take up first kind of solutions to implement. Proactively work and lead the assignment with minimal support, including audit , operational tasks etc. Ready to work and support in flexible time.
Basic Qualifications:
Solid understanding of SAP technical components for both ABAP and Java based SAP solutions is required. Typically, this competency is gained over a period of 6+ years as a SAP Basis/Netweaver Administrator. In addition, this individual ideally has a solid understanding of database management systems, including HANA,Oracle, MaxDB, and SQL Server. Furthermore, the applicant will have familiarity with the Microsoft Windows Server operating system and Linux.
Operationally and procedurally, the applicant will have experience with managing high priority SAP incidents; creating SAP production system copies; managing and reacting to SAP CCMS operational monitors; Application of SAP Support Packages & OSS notes; Kernel upgrades; SAP client copy; spool, job, and work process administration; and End to End root cause analysis. Good command of the English language, including reading, writing, and spoken conversation.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP functional knowledge too, is an asset. As well as experience within other areas of Information Technology (network and/or security).
