We are looking to hire a skilled IT support engineer to assist our clients with all IT related technical support issues. As an IT support engineer, you will meet with clients to determine the nature of the problem, diagnose hardware or software issues, provide effective assistance, and maintain strong customer relationships. You may also be required to install new software applications and train clients on proper application use.
To ensure success as an IT support engineer, you should have in-depth knowledge of business software and hardware systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and high-level interpersonal skills. Ultimately, a top-class IT support engineer resolves all IT issues quickly and effectively while maintaining a good relationship with the client.
Responsibilities
Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup, Application support and network configuration
To Monitor Applications/Server/Website for its availability.
Knowledge of IT Service management tools (e.g. FreshService, ServiceNow) is preferred and Responding to client IT support requests.
Providing technical support on-site or via remote-access systems.
Track system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits/ SLA.
Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
Talk clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email or chat, until they’ve solved a technical issue
Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. Application L2 Teams)
Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers.
Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time and ensure all issues are properly logged.
Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
Prepare accurate and timely reports
Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
Maintain jovial relationships with clients.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Electronics, computer science or relevant field.
Proven work experience as a technical support engineer.
Okay with Day and Night shifts. Available for 24/7 operations in Shift.
Knowledge of Office applications, web services, Ping tests and IP-based protocols.
Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems.
Good time management skills and Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to think critically and provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, or similar technologies is a plus.
