Job Description
The Dropship Analyst role focuses on driving medium-to long term improvements in vendor performance. Functions of the role include generating vendor data analysis, drive Supplier On-time and Fill Rate performance, inventory management, managing vendor inquiries, and building relationships with vendors and other key cross functional stakeholders within Lowe’s.
The successful candidate will be an individual who has the ability to identify and support strategic improvement initiatives for vendor performance, while being able to dive deep into areas of opportunity and develop solutions and processes towards improvements. This associate will work cross-functionally with multiple technical and operational teams within Lowe’s organization.
II. Roles & Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
. Analyze data, understand trends within the data and provide valuable and actionable insights regarding the data.
. Lead data driven projects from definition through interpretation and execution stages.
. Execute the vendor chargeback process and manage vendor inquiries regarding the process and chargebacks.
. Partner with vendor community to identify process gaps and provide solutions on how to close identified gaps
. Proactively analyze vendor data and identify and address issues
. Assist management with special projects and process improvements
. Liaise between core teams at Lowe’s Supply Chain, Operations, Accounting and Merchandising team to ensure resolve vendor issues quickly
. Partners with core teams at Lowe’s and within the vendor network Merchandising, Supply Chain planning and Replenishment to improve vendor performance and provide teams with data and metrics to ensure vendor performance is considered in business decisions (i.e. Product Line Reviews)
. Prepares management level reports
. Communication with vendors in effort to drive ship on time improvements and reduce cancellations in partnership with other internal teams
. Analyze vendor performance in regards to Cost of Shipping in an effort to improve profitability
. Use data to track packages from shipping to the customers door and provide insights to help drive on time delivery
. Validation of vendor go live after they have completed the onboarding process
III. Years of Experience
Bachelor’s Degree Business or Related Field plus 3+ years relevant experience
OR
Relevant work experience in retail merchandising, inventory planning, vendor performance management, assortment planning or forecasting roles for total of 7-year experience in lieu of education
IV. Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)
Required Minimum Qualifications:
. Bachelor’s Degree BBA, B.com, Operations Research or Related Field
V. Skill Set Required
Primary Skills (must have)
. Experience with data analysis and providing insights about the data
. Experience managing small to medium d projects
. Experience working with Excel and other data/reporting tools
. Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents for presentation to management
. Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
. Understanding of core supply chain principles
Secondary Skills (desired)
. Experience in Data mining and visualization tool such as PowerBI, SQL, MS Access, VBA or Excel
