Work with Business Stakeholders, Product Owner, Business Analysts to understand functional and non-functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams
To be the lead architect to work with other architects to define the end-to-end solution & design covering all involved systems, data, integration, security and non-functional requirements
Identify architecture exceptions during definitions of target and transitional architectures
Follow governance processes agreed with CT Architecture Team – adherence to defined principles, policies, technology, information and process standards
Produce and maintain architecture documentation including Solution Architecture Document, Data Flow Diagram, Integrated Architecture diagram etc
Review solution individually with key non functional stakeholders e.g. Security, Privacy etc
Present solution in various forums (like Design Integrity Forum, Architecture Committee, Architecture Review Board) and with different teams like Security, Privacy.
Help project team to size & estimate project implementation and identify resources and skillset needed for delivery of solution
Ensure the proposed solution aligns with the business outcome
Ensures all solutions follow Corporate Technology and enterprise solution standards, align with overall roadmap, have good quality documentation, and follow all relevant governance steps

Gathering approvals for the solution architecture through the LSEG Governance processes

This role sets the technology direction of the overall project and therefore can influence cost and timelines to the assigned projects.

Completion of Solution Architecture Document to agreed timelines
Successful ‘sign off’ of the Solution as described in the Solution Architecture Document from the relevant stakeholders and review boards within the agreed timelines of the plan
Ensure solutions retire applications where possible to reduce the total number of Corporate Technology Applications
Technical/job functional knowledge
Experienced in architecting, delivering and supporting software-based systems integrated across a variety of IT infrastructures
Knowledge of:
Azure Active Directory
AWS hosting capabilities and services
Architecting for non-functional requirements, e.g. performance, network capacity, security
Databases
SaaS solutions
Infrastructure concepts to support business continuity and operations e.g. performance, disaster recovery
Familiarity with networking and security concepts
Ideally, experience or knowledge of
On-premise to Cloud migration projects Integration projects as a result of corporate acquisitions & mergers
Onboarding SaaS solutions
System integrations at application, data and network architecture domains
Appreciation of InfoSec practices as applied in a regulated environment
Strong technical acumen
Business and sector expertise
Experience in working with business stakeholders, especially in corporate business functions e.g. HR, Finance, Facilities, Risk & Compliance
High-level understanding/appreciation of processes that impact business operations
Experience of advising/communicating at ‘Head of’ levels’ of Management
Experience as an architect deploying applications on-prem and in the cloud (AWS/Azure) and deploying SaaS solutions
Leadership and management experience
Experience providing Technical leadership as a Solution Architect on programs and projects
Personal skills and capabilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical partners and to listen to identified concerns and adapt accordingly
Ability to influence across multiple functions (technical and non-technical)
Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
To quickly build up a working knowledge of applications by working with others and reading up on new applications
