Job Summary:

Lead the IT Operations & Service Management Team with the objective of transforming the end user experience and creating a futuristic elastic & Scalable Technology infrastructure foundation which is the basis for Digital transformation of the enterprise. This role will play a key role in ensuring a secure, cost efficient and resilient Technology foundation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data center Operations & Cloud Ops

• Design, plan and execute modern hybrid data center operations with a bias towards multi cloud operations.
• Scalable & Automated IT Infrastructure which is based on “Pay as you Use” and tech stack consolidation to optimize IT Investments on run the business
• Ensure that tech stack is current (EOL/EOS) and relevant to support digital ambition of Maxlife

Application Management Services

• Implement state of Art sustain processes including automation & self-healing to ensure best in class SLA’s for IT operations
• Best in class system uptimes to ensure “Always On” IT systems with event linked escalation and command center approach to avoid IT incidents

End User compute

• Own the end user experience of dealing with IT assets through optimum end user infra strategy based on company’s approach of working from anywhere.
• Implement best in class processes to enable “customer Delight” for IT end users by robust end user support especially bases on self-healing, new channels of requests – WhatsApp etc.
• Driving productivity of employees through owning the collaboration platforms and any device strategy.

Compliance/ Audits

• Ensure compliance with specified norms & guidelines, and closure of gaps to ensure compliance of IT services and Audit requirements

Network Management

• Build & support the unified communication strategy to integrate voice, data on a common platform in an efficient manner.
• Ensure networks are scalable, resilient & Secure to power the digital tools of Maxlife

Security & Business Continuity

• Operate & Run the Security operations center (SOC) to ensure proactive approach to managing security
• Manage security across Data center, cloud, end user devices, remote access & network to ensure no security breach.
• Ensure business continuity through scalable DR which meets business norms for RTO/RPO

Database Management

• Implement efficient DB mgt practices to ensure performance, scalability & Cost’s effectiveness
• Implement new age databases to move away for traditional rdbms and supporting real time performance. Implement new age in cache mgt & in memory DB’s to scale for inline analytics.

Infrastructure Architecture

• Create an end state IT Infrastructure architecture which is elastic, scalable, agile & cost efficient. Create a roadmap to transition to end state architecture with a clear “Invest, Tolerate & retire” Strategy.

Others

• Procurement – Recommend selection of technology; approve vendor selection; run Cost Benefits Analysis; manage escalations & oversee technical & commercial negotiations to manage optimize IT purchase within budgets

• Human Capital Management – Hire, develop and retain top technical talent to ensure right skills to support the tech strategy and create future ready leaders.

• Strategic vendor Mgt – Oversee selection of business partners; manage non-compliance by vendors; resolve issues & escalations; responsible for evaluation of new solutions & software vendors to ensure better services to internal customers & maintain a healthy working relationship with the outsourced software vendors

• Cost Management – Innovate to manage the costs and experience and help transition the funding from run the business to transform the business. Ensure prudent financial management and meeting the productivity and overall costs targets.

• Controls & process Mgt – Strengthen Technology Controls, ensure adherence to the various Technology Processes and Procedures, Design Processes for Customer Effectiveness and Adequate System Controls, Evolve Documentation Standards.

• Program Management – Track the various IT Projects, Schedule implementation of the various projects keeping hardware, development, testing and resource constraints in consideration, Ensure adherence to SDLC processes,

Requisite qualification and experience:

• 20+ years of experience in IT. Must have held leadership roles, managed IT Services & Operations
• University PG degree and / or MBA in Information systems
• Experience in strategic planning and execution
• Excellent understanding of servers, networks, datacenters and cloud technology
• Must have managed budgets to the tune of 50 crores of IT Infrastructure and services
• Service management exposure in large multi technology environment with both legacy and new age digital native stack
• Exposure to managing Infrastructure for digital technologies like web, mobile, social etc with specific expertise in rapid scale up, elasticity, orchestration, and provisioning

Desired knowledge and experience:

• Service Delivery – ITSM /COBIT – creating processes to efficiently manage operations
• Cloud Ops & Engineering – ability to transition workloads to cloud, ability to optimize cloud costs, manage multi cloud brokering environment
• Automation in Data center operations – human less command center, AI ops
• AMS –managing large vendors, business alignment on SLA’s, self-healing, and self help
• Relationship Management – stake holder mgt, business capability mapping, technology roadmap, business case
• Excellent understanding of project management principles
• Learnability of business processes and the understandings the business drivers leading to optimized service levels.
• Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems
• Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures
• Proven leadership ability. Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
• Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
