Who You’ll Work With

You’ll work in our Gurugram office as part of Managed Infrastructure Services (MIS) – an entity within McKinsey’s worldwide IT organization, responsible for managing the firm’s entire global IT infrastructure and applications. Operational IT services are provided out of Gurgaon/India and San José/Costa Rica. Furthermore, there are operational engineering teams located in Gurugram,India, Prague, Czech Republic and Düsseldorf, Germany.

You will be part of MIS-internal platform, a techno-functional team responsible for supporting the firm-wide on-premise/cloud Infrastructure primarily on AWS. Technologies include Apache/Tomcat, Solr, APIGEE, SnapLogic, Redis and other event management platforms and integration systems.

What You’ll Do

You will be part of MIS-internal platform a techno-functional team responsible for supporting the firm-wide on-premise/cloud Infrastructure primarily on AWS.

In this role, you will work on technologies which include Apache/Tomcat, Solr, APIGEE, SnapLogic, Redis and other event management platforms and integration systems. You will perform complex level troubleshooting of infrastructure and dependent components as well as basic code level troubleshooting with our product development team. You will also perform daily activities of installation/configuration & trouble-shooting of app/web-servers, maintenance, support & complete life-cycle management of middleware open-source tech-stacks e.g. Solr, Redis, IIS.

You will oversee security hardening using KMS & Sftp tools e.g. Vormetric, Go-Anywhere & AWS KMS. You will monitor & support the integration of platforms tools e.g. Apigee, SnapLogic, Kafka along with vulnerability management. You will mitigate critical vulnerabilities on these tools using Rapid7 and Service-now.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience providing infrastructure support

Hands-on experience in operating cloud workloads in AWS, Azure, etc. and automating infrastructure provisioning using CloudFormation, Terraform, etc

Extensive experience in ownership and management of AWS accounts that includes lifecycle management (permissions/access, changes in roles/policy), monitoring & alerting, backup & recovery

Managed services support – RDS, EFS, S3 (e.g. capacity updating, new service addition, etc.)

Knowledge of static web hosting with platform and application ,management

Hands-on experience in security posture review and remediation through security hub

Extensive knowledge of automation using Shell scripts/Ansible/PowerShell/Python with a knowledge of Linux administration

Knowledge of agile methodologies and automation solutions aligned with state-of-the-art product knowledge and ability to script

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; skills to communicate complex ideas effectively

Ability to communicate effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English as well as the local office language
