Micro Focus is looking for an IT Release Manager who can come in and make the job their own. We are currently rapidly expanding our teams and looking for an individual to join the team and be part of shaping the maturity journey we are on as an CIO function.
The candidate should have experience on IT Release Management, which will need to include project management disciplines, for complex application landscape including enterprise applications and SaaS products like SalesForce, Workday and NetSuite.
Role would be part of IT Release function responsible to plan, schedule, govern and control the movement of both BAU fixes and new projects to controlled test environments and ultimately to production.

Responsibilities
Scheduling, managing and coordinating releases across multiple applications within various portfolios across different teams and projects.
Ensure that all teams follow the process and governance defined, and perform quality checks on releases
Ensure appropriate checkpoints are met and coordinate release sign-off
Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the release processes, and make improvement as required
Complete post implementation reviews for planned changes, categorised as minor and major releases
Working with impacted stakeholders to derive relevant approvals and timeframes for code migration into production
Continuously monitor projects and provide reports about their progress.
Manage and mitigate risks and resolve issues regarding release quality and schedule.
Flexibility to train/adapt to ad hoc and emerging requirements for MF IT Build & Deliver function
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
3-6 years of previous IT release management experience
3-6 years of previous experience in a fast-paced operations environment working within an ITIL framework
3-6 years of experience in information systems IT/CIO/CDO operations environment in systems analysis or development
Knowledge and Skills
Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle and different delivery models such as waterfall, agile et al
Experience of ITSM tool sets
General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office expert level knowledge of Excel, Project, Power Point
Knowledge of SAAS ERP and CRM products such as Netsuite, Workday, Salesforce preferred
Soft Skills
Strong analytical capabilities, highly organised and excellent relationship management skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
Influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
Effective communicator who can work seamlessly with technical and non-technical resources.
A Team Player with strong team ethos and a CAN- DO attitude.
Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment.
Ability to build professional relationship with colleagues.
Self-driven and proactive attitude to identify risks/issues and to mitigate/solve them.
Flexibility to accommodate out of hours /weekend work to accommodate Release windows, , releases, quarter end and year end activities etc.
Take proactive ownership of assigned work packages.
