JR28005 Staff Software Engineer – IT ETS
Micron seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to help configure, develop, maintain, and support Micron and third-party applications which drive infrastructure automation. This role is expected to work in India time zone (IST).
You will be involved with a team of software engineers based in Boise, India and Taiwan to automate the infrastructure processes wherever possible to reduce manual process steps and ensure reliable and repeatable results. The team’s goals are to provide end to end service automation, orchestration and service delivery.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and implement an automated solution, process, and/or workflow within System Center Orchestrator, Cloudbolt, Ansible.
Hands on experience as Infrastructure automation team member to build automation processes (On-prem & Cloud) consume by multiple departments within Organization
Design and implement modules and blueprints for Cloudbolt Automation using Python and Terraform to provision resource in Public Cloud
Design the solution & technical approach/process flow where relevant integrations are required to meet customers’ needs
Working experience with Source Control Management tools such as; Team Foundation Server (TFS), GIT
Experience with Agile development practices and Scrum methodology
Research new tools and technologies for use within the team. This includes Microsoft System Center and Operations Management Suite automation products and Microsoft Azure Automation with Operations Management Suite among others.
Assist in the troubleshooting of code defects in C#, PowerShell scripts, Python and Ansible
Understand existing automation technologies and recommend process improvement, identify gaps
Responsible for the maintenance of existing applications
Required Technical Experience: 10+ YRS
Atleast 5+ years direct experience in development tools and platforms
Asp.Net, C#, .net core, Azure, Powershell, Python
System Center Orchestrator developing runbooks for disconnected processing
Experience development and consumption of REST API
Microsoft System Center Orchestrator
Basic DB Skills
PowerShell DSC and Azure experience is a plus
Experience in ChatBot development
Desired Education and Experience:
Bachelor/Master’s degree in computer science preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
DevOps understanding for automation of processes
Remoting, Workflow and DSC is a plus
Terraform knowledge is a plus
Proven experience working in a cross-functional development team

Full understanding of Windows, Unix, Cisco UCSand VMWare
Shell scripting (bash, ksh, csh)
VMWare build automation – VM Build and patching
