Roles and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
2. Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
3. Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
4. Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
5. Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
6. Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
7. Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
8. Raise trouble tickets with OEM / 3rd party vendors for fault / problem resolution as per the resolution time as agreed in customer agreement.
9. Ensure uptime of allocated IP Network and Security devices through coordination with various stakeholders. Report escalation to L2,L3 support in time to ensure timely resolution.
10. Scheduling scans for systems and check antivirus logs from central management console
Qualifications for System Administrator
1. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System
Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
2. 2-3 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
3. System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields
are a plus
4. Working knowledge of virtualization [Xen-Server] or equivalent
5. Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
6. Experience with scripting and automation tools
7. A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans best practices,
8. Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations including sufficient knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
Soft skills 1. Effective communications skills, ability to communicate in English, Hindi/Marathi
2. Effective interpersonal skills 3. Ability to handle pressure 4. Ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities 5. Demonstrated passion for innovation 6. Strong problem solving and analytic skills to isolate problems, recommend solutions, and the implementation of solutions. 7. Must display initiative, ability to work independently and be able to use extensive independent judgment. 8. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Environmental Condition 1. Ability to work in 24/7 support environments. 2. Week offs may change as per roster/shift requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent
Pay: ₹300,000.00 – ₹500,000.00 per year
