Role Summary
Ensures that incidents/Service Request has an identified owner and reaches resolution within the defined SLA.
Monitors and tracks the issues through the CRM/ITIL process. They are the backbone of the process by making sure no incident/Service Request gets trapped or bottlenecked in any area of the process. Analyze the issues and provides the service to the customer. 3 to 4 years of relevant industry experience in supporting IT applications/Processes/Remote Infrastructure Management/VDI Support.
Major Responsibility/ Job Responsibility This section details the operational activities that should be performed by individuals:
Provide post-sales technical support to understand customer needs, map workflow processes, and analyze technical requirements/GAP, competition offerings.
Analyses technical problems, which are reported via phone / e-mail by customers, partners or Subsidiaries.
Provides first level technical responses & formal documentation in written & graphic formats based on customer requests and workflow process to customer. Management of all Service Request / incident through a proper process.
Proficiency in administering major Operating Systems/servers especially on windows and Linux (Red hat, Fedora, Ubuntu etc.).
Proficiency in SNMP Monitoring systems – Nagios, HP Openview ,Nimsoft etc.
Proficiency in HA and disaster recovery systems
Monitoring and maintaining compliance with enterprise architecture, technology standards, and disaster recovery/business continuity planning.
Proficiency in installing, configuring and maintaining Windows server 2008 and Windows server 2012.
Experience in troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Environment, Windows Server deployment, Windows Server 2003/2008/R2 version (Essential)
Knowledge of virtualization like Hyper-V. (Essential)
Windows/Linux /VM Administration
Microsoft Windows server administration experience (Windows 2003/2008/2012)
Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange/Office365
Linux server administration experience (Ubuntu, Redhat,)
Server backups and scheduling
Remote server monitoring,management and maintenance.
Basic knowledge on SQL server (MSSQL/MySQL) is an added advantage.
Strong experience in Installation and configuration VMware Products.
Install and configure ESX servers, Setup and configure HA, VMotion, DRS,Backup / Disaster Recovery
Installing CM Windows Guests and P2V migrations, Day to Day System Administration of VMware, Linux and Windows Servers. Experience in high level diagnostics & troubleshooting of VMware ESX

Desirable Qualification & Experience

Should possess good knowledge and real time experience of IT (understanding of Windows /Networks/Linux/ Virtualization).
Operating Systems Windows Server 2003/08/R2, Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Oracle Solaris, VMware.
IT H/W: Dell, HP, Lenovo Server hardware knowledge with RAID configuration, Multiport Link Aggregation and Network Interface Card (NIC) Configuration.
