ADLM Team Lead
Our NielsenIQ Technology teams are working on our new Connected platform, a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients around the world rely on NielsenIQ data and insights to innovate and grow.
As an ADLM Jira Admin/Developer, you’ll be responsible for empowering a team of smart, highly skilled technologists who are passionate about learning and prototyping cutting-edge technologies. Right now our platform is based on Atlassian tools set plus Artifactory, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc. We value CI/CD in everything that we develop. Our team is co-located and agile, with multiple central technology hubs around the globe.
We are looking for a result-driven team leader to be responsible for monitoring and supervising a team of consultants and FTs to achieve the organization’s objectives and increase deliveries. You will be responsible for providing guidance, instruction, training, and leadership skills to inspire the team to perform at their optimum. You should create a cohesive team that works efficiently together to maximize our support team’s potential.
What you’ll do
Atlassian tools administration
Customize Atlassian by developing various integrations, plugins, event listeners, and scripts in Java, JavaScript, Groovy Script, Jelly Script, and JSON.
Support engineers with their requests for software tools
Create and manage projects related to the Technology teams
Interface with external vendors and third-party tools suppliers.
Managing the day-to-day activities of the team.
Motivating the team to achieve organizational goals.
Developing and implementing a timeline to achieve targets.
Delegating tasks to team members.
Conducting training of team members to maximize their potential.
Empowering team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
Conducting quarterly performance reviews.
Contributing to the growth of the company through a successful team.
Creating a pleasant working environment that inspires the team.
Qualifications
We’re looking for people who have
5+ years of IT industry Experience in Unix Administration, Software Configuration Management, Change Management, build automation, Release Management, and DevOps experience.
Experience in using Atlassian products(Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Crowd)
Experience in customizing Atlassian products by developing various plugins, event listeners, and scripts in JAVA, JavaScript, Groovy script, Jelly Script, and JQ.
Experience in complete software development life cycle (SDLC) with software development models like Agile and Waterfall.
Good understanding of integrating Jira with other products such as Service Now, SharePoint, MS 365, Microsoft office connector·
Experienced in Atlassian REST API’s and Atlassian SDK Toolkit·
Experienced in writing/building/integrating custom modules for Jira/Confluence·
Experience in using Build Automation tools and Continuous Integration concepts using ANT, Jenkins, and Maven.
Experience in using Configuration Management tools like Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
Ability to build deployment, build scripts, and automated solutions using Shell Scripting.
Good Knowledge of Bash, Ruby, Python, and Perl scripting.
Excellent communication skills.
Confidence and skillful negotiating skills.
Strong organizational skills to give the team direction.
Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Ability to travel domestically as required.
Ability to work flexible hours and be accessible 7/24.
Must be available for weekend and evening work when applicable due to project deadlines, problems, production hours of operation. Be able to fulfill several different types of work shifts – On-call, Rotation, Fixed, First, Second, Third, and Split.
