As an IT DevOps Engineer, you will be part of our Enterprise Applications team, responsible end to end for Nokia’s applications’ portfolio, used across all Business Groups and Functions. Our current mission is to simplify and modernize our application portfolio and to transform it into a fast-moving, product-oriented and customer-focused technology organization.
The overall objective for this position is to have a strong candidate ensuring successful IT delivery in DevOps mode, covering end-to-end development and operation, for the following business domains: Hardware Services, from Case handling and Customer Care to Orchestration and Logistics and Finance
The current application landscape is in front of significant development and standardization requiring a candidate with the right mindset to understand which application development activities lead to a transformed and renewed landscape by utilizing the latest available technology to foster a refresh of the new innovative application landscape.
What you will learn and contribute to
Drive technical design and development for major components of various solutions;
Offers best practice advice and recommendations to clients around overall systems architecture and SaaS Solution Strategy;
Engages with Enterprise Architects regarding technical architecture;
Leads technical requirements gathering and/or design workshops for complex projects;
Provides overall technical experties in data warehousing;
Provides experties in designing framework which can be integrated to various data sources supporting multiple integration protocol;
Develops data integration, migration, QA and deployment strategies;
Builds & Deploys solutions high and low level design based ont the requirements;
Lead Proof of Concepts and technical solutioning;
Manages and mentors junior team members;
Works with clients to understand their needs, provide meaningful solutions and build strong relationships;
Implement core development of new functionality, enhancements to existing functionality, and platform maintenance work;
Participate in technical design discussions, influencing thoughtful decisions about when to use configuration vs. Coding;
Participate in the full application life cycle – design, development, testing, and deployment;
Collaborate with Technical Project Management, external development teams, and business partners to ensure customer success;
Design, develop and integrate SaaS with other systems and applications using modern web tools and technologies;
Assist in identifying and resolving defects encountered during different stages of project delivery, including during the deployment and implementation of the solution in production environments.
Your skills and experience
You have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience;
5-8 years of experience delivering consulting services, in client-facing roles that provided experience with all aspects of systems implementation, including 3+ years of hands-on experience with hardware planning domain;
Deep understanding of integration and data warehousing concepts and practices. Able to identify the need and recommend the use of best practices;
Strong understanding of database design concepts, data migration and data integration;
Demonstrates excellence in understanding complex business processes and ability to apply scenarios to “Story-lines” as well as make business process modification suggestions to align with best practices;
Makes good decisions (without considering how much time it takes) based upon a mixture of analysis;
Candidate should be comfortable with Server-Side as well as Client-Side technologies;
Proficient with Requirement analysis, Architecture & detail design, Design & coding best practices, Relational DB, Java, JavaScript ,HTML;
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical business users from various backgrounds including sales, support and marketing;
Can effectively cope with change; can shift gears comfortably;
Experience with both agile and waterfall implementation methodologies;
Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories;
Support applications in a production environment (DevOps structure).
It would be nice if you also had:
Azure SQL knowledge
Experience with Azure Data Factory (or data integration)
