We are currently seeking a Networking Advisor to join our team in Remote, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).
NTTDATA Virtual Workspace Services (VWS) Network Engineer
This role is supporting the VWS team in designing, implementing and supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Networks.
Specific job duties include:
-Design, deploy, manage and ensure stability of the multi-tenant local/wide area (LAN/WAN) network infrastructure technologies to provide high availability, fault tolerance and scalability to effectively and efficiently support mission critical business systems.
-Demonstrate a high level of competence in LAN/WAN technologies, routing, switching and firewalling platforms, troubleshooting critical issues and coordinating implementation.
-Troubleshoot and resolve major network and system issues.
-Test and validate all new hardware and connections for proper configuration and performance.
-Ensure the integrity of network security and security posture of the VWS infrastructure.
-Interact with customers, both external and internal.
-Carry out other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
– Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
– 5 years experience with network design and support.
– Experience in fault isolation logic and techniques.
– Solid understanding of TCP/IP.
– Understanding of Ethernet Layer 2 protocols and technologies: VLANs, RSTP, MST.
– Expert understanding and application experience with ACLs, IPSEC VPNs, OSPF, BGP.
– Extensive operational knowledge of Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, firewalls.
– Understanding of network function virtualization (NFV) virtual routers, virtual routing and forwarding (VRF).
Desired Certifications:
– ITIL foundations.
– Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing & Switching (CCNA).
– Juniper Networks Certified Specialist – Enterprise (JNCIS-ENT).
– Juniper Networks Certified Specialist – Security (JNCIS-SEC).
Additional Qualities desired include:
– Experience with Cisco Nexus and ASA platforms.
– Experience with Dell network hardware.
– Experience with JunOS
– Ability and desire to learn and grow independently as well as in a team.
– Understanding of Open Networking and software defined networking (SDN).
– Knolwedge of Linux OS and administration.
– Knowledge of Python scripting or similar scripting knowledge.
