Business Analyst Responsibilities:
Get stakeholders needs, expectations, and goals for the software product by consulting with them.
Gather, analyze and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements specifications, use cases, and user stories that serve as the basis for development.
Map existing and proposed business processes to identify areas for improvement. Understand how the software product fits into the overall business process.
Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed solutions.
Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
Working closely with clients, product team and project team.
Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior team members.
Allocating resources and maintaining cost efficiency.
Performing user acceptance testing.
Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
Make sure requirements are well-defined, complete, and testable.
Make sure the proposed solutions meet the stated requirements.
Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Prepare prototypes or mockups to help stakeholders visualize product functionality early.
Support the creation of user manuals, training materials, and other relevant documentation to assist end users.
Business Analyst Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Market research skills.
Excellent documentation skills.
Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Experience leading and developing top-performing teams.
A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
SDLC general knowledge.
