Job Description
Your Career
The IT team is looking for a seasoned Senior engineering manager with previous team management experience in global team setup, and a unique blend of technical leadership, people leadership, and business skill sets. The primary responsibility of this position will be to manage one or more teams of Salesforce engineers who customize and configure Salesforce CPQ to support specific business functions. The Senior Engineering Manager will report to the Sr. Director of GTM and CX services..
This is a hands-on manager role. We are looking for an individual who can grasp the bigger business vision while also having the strong time management and prioritization skills to manage, lead, coach, and mentor engineers. The ability to communicate this business vision to the engineers is a key aspect of this role. As this is a hands-on role, expert-level knowledge on Salesforce specially Sales cloud and CPQ is also expected.
Your Impact
Manage, lead, mentor, and coach one or more Salesforce engineering teams
Be accountable for the engineering quality of the subject matter areas your teams are responsible for
Work closely with product managers to refine business requirements in alignment with good design principles
Work closely with team leads and architects to create good engineering designs that meet business requirements and align with good architectural practices
Ability to translate technology into business value
Working in conjunction with management and colleagues, define, document, and demonstrate good software engineering practices
Stay up-to-date on new Salesforce features to provide recommendations for process improvements and feature adoption
Facilitate project delivery from your teams, working in conjunction with product managers, business analysts, business partners, and system administrators
Facilitate production support affecting the system areas your teams are responsible for
Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans
Qualifications
Your Experience
BE/B.tech or relevant technical degree or equivalent military experience required
15+ years of overall work experience
Minimum 4+ years of team management experience as manager
5+ years of experience developing on Salesforce platforms
3+ years of hands on experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud or CPQ
Demonstrated ability to lead engineers to deliver working software on time and with high quality
Demonstrated understanding of good software engineering practices
Excellent engineering skills on the platform(s) your teams work on
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills – Strong architectural skills on the platform(s) your teams work on is a strong advantage
Salesforce certification are a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
This is Bangalore onsite office based opportunity
