The Atlassian Admin will be responsible for the technical operation/administration enhancement, maintenance, integration and roll out of enterprise-wide Atlassian-based solutions (i.e JIRA, Confluence, internal applications and related integrations/plug-ins) across the Enterprise. This role is accountable for high availability, performance and enhanced capabilities of the Atlassian product suite
This position will be responsible for owning, managing, defining and optimizing standard Atlassian tools and processes to drive Atlassian best practices and increased collaboration across
Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite including Jira Software, Jira Service management, and Confluence (ideally familiar with Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud)
Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite
Create complex Atlassian workflows, project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
Gather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize and improve Atlassian JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requests
Promote adoption and best practices among the Atlassian user community
Define and manage the rollout of comprehensive workflows (with conditions, validators, and triggered post functions), screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
Refine current Jira processes to be more streamline and uniform for agile teams.
Troubleshoot issues, communicate with process owners and continue to improve support processes.
Develop mechanisms to automate manual processes
Provide Atlassian subject matter expertise in discussions regarding governance within JIRA
Able to create Jira based reports, dashboards and planning views based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable project metrics and status reports
Creating and maintaining technical and/or user facing documentation for training
Working with remote teams and team members desired
Working with Agile projects and processes with multiple cross-functional teams
Minimum (3) years’ of related experience.
Excellent communicator who can work with and influence all functions and levels.
Will need to work independently with minimal supervision
Install, Upgrade Atlassian products on in-house variants. (Data center / Data hub experience is a plus)
Design and setup configure and establish the implementation of best practices in BiTbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins
Manage various development tools, testing tools, and monitoring tools as applied to Atlassian toolsuite.
Adequate knowledge and process-oriented approach to evaluating business needs
Proficient in JQL and developing custom scripts
Knowledge of migrating, merging various Atlassian applications
Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Atlassian Certified Professional credentials desired
Knowledge of change management methodologies used to drive organizational change
Excellent decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
3+ years administering an Identity Management System
3+ years administering Atlassian Suite Applications, Slack.
Experience supporting Atlassian tools in an AWS environment.
Experience performing Atlassian Installation, upgrades and migrations.
Proficiency with system administration(Linux).
Understand basic database administration, and competency in writing SQL queries
Proficiency with at least one scripting language (Python, Node.js, Groovy).
Competencies with developing technical specifications, risk management evaluation, and instituting systems and acceptance testing criteria for QA and development environments.
