• The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Safeguarding Children and Young People & Gender Equality Policies.
• Project Overview:
• The “Supply Chain Management Strengthening (SCMS) Project for HIV/AIDS and TB drugs” aims to strengthen the technical capacity of the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Central TB Division (CTD), State AIDS Control Societies (SACS) and State TB Cells (STC) to design, manage and monitor supply chains for improved access and availability of high-quality ARVs, TB drugs, diagnostics and other commodities across India. The Project is led by Plan International (India), the Principle Recipient (PR) for the HIV and TB Supply Chain grant under the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) for India to support NACO’s response to AIDS epidemic and Central TB Division (CTD) towards TB elimination.
• The SCMS Project is being implemented by Plan International (India Chapter) as PR in collaboration with JSI R&T India Foundation as Sub-Recipient and 3PL services providers by the private sector. The project will also leverage the private sector for the distribution of ARV, TB drugs, diagnostics and other commodities to ensure the availability and accessibility of drugs and commodities of both the programs across their facilities.
• Job Summary
• Reporting to Sr. IT Manager based at NACO. The IT- SC Coordinator will be based at NACO/Plan to provide technical input and support to customize and develop the Digital Health initiatives of the Ministry. The IT- SC Coordinator will work closely with Supply Chain team at Plan India and IT Team at NACO on the flow process of individual modules to ensure the successful development and completion of the work flow for inventory management system. The ideal candidate should have experience in maintaining web applications, testing and knowledge on Supply Chain Management.
• Responsibilities:
• IT-SC Coordinator will be based at NACO/Plan India and provide IT and supply chain domain expertise for the smooth implementation of the SCM Project. He/She will work in close coordination with SCM Project team and SCM NACO to ensure that the project activities are executed and timely approval is provided by the NACO for the implementation and will have the following major activities:
• 1. Planning of customization and development of Inventory modules under SOCH with timelines;
• 2. Develop the blue print after gathering the requirement of the individual modules like Indenting, procurement, inventory and dashboard for better function of the application;
• 3. Support SCM Team to develop the flow processes based on the SOPs – SCM;
• 4. Ensure the Software Development Life Cycle for better outcome;
• 5. Provide technical inputs on Supply Chain perspective to the developer to ensure the end to end process functionality of the application;
• 6. Regular follow up with IT NACO team on the progress of development and update the planner and share with leadership;
• 7. Execute the testing of modules and its functioning and share any issues related to bugs to the developer;
• 8. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs;
• 9. Test Mobile, Web and native applications across multiple mobile devices.
• 10. Perform Software Testing, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing. (Mobile & Web Applications).
• 11. Identify defects, prioritize and track issues, and report test results to the development team.
• 12. Continuous engagement with the Senior IT Manager for trouble shooting and problem solving.
• 13. Responsible to collect the issues/bugs related to DDMS/SSV Tools and coordinate with vendor to fix the problem;
• 14. Other responsibility assigns by supervisor;
• Education and Experience:
• 1. B-Tech – IT/Engineering – Certificate /Diploma course in Supply Chain Management/Logistics Management will be an asset;
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in IT/SCM project Management.
