You will join our IT Disaster recovery Process department.
As our Data backup and Recovery Specialist, you will be part of a newly created team in our Chennai office with 4-5 likeminded and experienced IT professionals working in Copenhagen who will mature the cross-functional IT processes and you will shape and align backup and recovery process in IT Disaster Recovery management.
As a Data backup and recovery coordinator you will be working alongside with IT Security team and other stakeholders in IT, Operational Excellence and the business teams on alignment of back up policy with IT Recovery strategy & procedures.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Define and lead the implementation of data backup and recovery strategies from IT Disaster recovery framework perspective.
Design Data restore test program to ensure completeness & integrity of data backups.
Provide support in managing data restore test activities with internal & external IT service providers.
Ensure that effective back up & data store agreements are in place with key vendors.
Provide guidance on Backup policy having data recovery requirements to new & existing service, critical infrastructure platforms and systems.
Follow up with Backup and restore operations teams for continuous improvements.
Develop backup and recovery processes and procedures and check points for recovery teams.

Qualification
BCA or equivalent degree. Degree may be substituted with additional equivalent years of direct experience in backup and recovery specialization.
Ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a multi-national company’s crisis management and corporate security organization with proven experience of building relationships and supporting executive management teams.
Experience in creating and maintaining of technical documentation for backup and recovery process
Preference would be given to someone who has experience in below technologies
Zerto DRaaS Solutions, Veeam Backup Solutions
DRaaS and BaaS within a multi-tenant cloud environment
VMware vCloud, vSphere, and vCenter
Windows Server technologies and configurations
Experience of designing and delivering disaster recovery exercises ranging from simple desktops to full scope crisis exercises
Understanding of disaster recovery and backup best practices, Business Continuity, DR planning, and testing
Fluent written and spoken English is essential
