Job Summary: The Team lead IT Support will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users and clients within the organization and managing the IT support service team in different verticals across ROS . This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, servers, and network equipment. The Senior IT Support Engineer will also maintain and update IT systems, implement new technologies, and manage IT projects as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and clients within the organization.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, servers, and network equipment.
Maintain and update IT systems and applications, including servers, network infrastructure, and software applications.
Implement new technologies and solutions to improve the performance and efficiency of IT systems and processes.
Manage and prioritize IT support tickets and requests to ensure timely resolution of issues
Work with other IT team members to develop and maintain IT policies and procedures
Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively use IT systems and applications.
Participate in IT project planning, design, and implementation as required.
Conduct regular maintenance and backup of IT systems and data
Monitor and maintain system security, including antivirus and firewall configurations.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts for IT-related services and equipment
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or related field
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems
Knowledge of network infrastructure and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
Experience with cloud-based technologies (Office 365, Google Workspace, etc.)
Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft MCSE, or Cisco CCNA are a plus.
