Procurement Specialist
Location: Chennai/Bangalore

Reporting to the Global Manager, SCM, HCS, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible to creating contracts and maintaining supplier relationships with mid-level suppliers for the Dedalus Group
Job Functions
Key functions of this role include:
· Plan and coordinate the procurement of all materials, products/services and equipment necessary for the operation of the Dedalus Group or assigned projects.
· Negotiate delivery, terms and conditions, and costs.
· Solicit suppliers/vendors for materials/products/services through formal Requests for Services (RFSs) and/or Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and informal channels.
· Analyse bids for specification compliance and determine cost and establishing delivery commitments.
· Achieve Just-In-Time deliveries.
· Take corrective action to develop new sources or eliminate sources of supply that do not ship in accordance with contractual delivery schedules and requirement need dates.
· Ensure suppliers/vendor’s adherence to applicable and industry standards and requirements, technical quality standards, and other corporate/business unit driven expectations.
· Participate in procurement initiatives in assigned areas with emphasis in the usage analysis, standardization, consolidation and leverage of materials and services to reduce costs and inventory while maintaining effective service levels
· Work closely with managers to develop sourcing strategies to meet technical requirements.
· Assist and advise on relevant contracting issues.
· Prepare expiring supplier, vendor, contractor, consultant reports for management.
· Promote supplier relationships to foster stronger business ties.
· Analyse and evaluate all elements of cost for assigned goods and services (total cost of ownership) to identify and obtain cost improvements through negotiation with suppliers and/or influencing the change of specification requirements.

Education & Experience
Essential
· At least 5 years experience in a Procurement role
· Experience in the broader IT&T industry.
· Negotiation Skills
· Experience in working in a matrix structure within a large multinational organisation
· Experience with IT contracts and contract negotiation
· Experience in delivering large scale Projects on time and on budget in keeping with defined Project Management principles
· Ability to influence remote teams/stakeholders of professionals; vendors; clients to achieve cost effective and timely solutions.
· Knowledge and understanding of the IT industry trends at the global and local level.
· Demonstrated expertise in provision of high-quality customer service in a leveraged environment incorporating an understanding of quality customer service needs.
Desired
· Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, IT, Commerce or related discipline

Salary: ₹174,425.19 – ₹1,241,248.59 per year
