Responsibilities
Senior provides first level support for business units using Test Systems. The usage of Test Systems includes development, testing, and training.
Minimum 5 years experience of managing a portfolio of projects to delivery
Experience in managing project and service environments.
Experience of vendor-relationship management.
At least 2 years of managing projects in an outsourced environment or managing vendors.
Demonstrates excellent technical awareness and understanding of the core technology in use, including bespoke applications in use and core systems management systems and tools.
Demonstrates thorough understanding of business priorities and understands the business criticality of platforms and applications.
Understanding of best practice in project delivery and service management, particularly in outsourcing situations.
Proven ability to work in collaboration with external service vendors, building and developing effective service vendor relationships.
Takes ownership of test system incidents with a high sense of urgency.
Takes corrective action independently and/or escalates when appropriate to ensure functional issues are resolved.
Engaging technical teams to resolve incidents when testing and training is impacted by system performance, application or database issues. Concurrently coordinates multiple environment incidents across functional and operational teams and documents incident resolution. In addition they would also be key contributor and/or lead for TSMO initiated projects.
As experience increases the selected candidate will also be given opportunities to perform duties of TSMO second level support including the creation of monitoring agents to detect problems so they can be corrected in a more proactive a fashion
Responsibilities include but are not limited to communicating and coordinating with:
Developers both as the user of the test systems as well as the owners of the code that is used by others to test.
HP and other 3rd party vendors that provide specific products and/or services in Test Systems Management on Test Systems status, escalations, and reporting.
Management leadership for status updates and escalations.
Education:
College degree and/or relevant experience.
Knowledge/Skills:Required:
Communicate and coordinate all Test Systems activities 5 – 8 years of hands on TPF or zTPF experience. 5 – 8 years experience working in an environment with CMS, multiple virtual partitions (VM), and MQSeries. Strong troubleshooting skills to work with developers. Knowledge of web based applications. Knowledge of application scripting. Works effectively in a global team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to logically triage an issue, and using defined processes and procedures, engage Sabre teams to efficiently address it. Capability to use available support products (for example Microsoft Office, MS-Visio, Jira, SharePoint, etc).
Required Work Hours in Central Time (CT) – rotational shift
