The Application Architect is responsible for successfully designing and managing the successful delivery of complex Salesforce solutions. These technologies include-but are not necessarily limited to Salesforce.com products and APIs, Apex/Flows, Lightning, mobile development technologies, and integration/ETL technologies.
You are both a big picture thinker and in-depth problem solver, your knowledge and skills are both broad and deep. You take pride in designing systems that stand up to high volumes and won’t fail at critical points. You have a good mix of technical and enterprise skills when it comes to architecting a solution. The solutions you design are built for the long-term and will scale with the customer’s growth plans seamlessly. You have proven experience integrating systems via API’s and a deep development/engineering background and translate ideas into solid technical solutions.
Responsibilities
Systems Design: Extend and guide the implementation of solution designs across business areas and systems. Evaluate and undertake impact analysis on major design options and assess associated risks along with next generation principles. Ensure that the system designs balance function, service quality, security, and system management requirements.
Buy/Build Decision Leadership: Participate in efforts to identify new software selection including the development of RFI/RFP, review and evaluation of commercial software solutions, lead proof of concepts and development of evaluation matrix through final recommendation, including hands-on execution where needed.
Application Architecture Deliverables: Partner with our global architecture team to define, maintain, and manage architecture models, frameworks and artifacts (e.g. current and future state application architecture diagrams, data models, etc.).
Business Process Improvement/Business Analysis: Analyze cross-functional business processes; identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches via technology enablement. Contribute to evaluating the factors which must be addressed in change management.
Data Analysis: understand corporate data requirements, and apply data analysis, data modeling and quality assurance techniques, to establish, modify or maintain data structures and their associated components in and across business areas/ applications of expertise.
Research: stay informed on technology trends and product roadmaps to make informed application architecture recommendations.
Qualifications Requirements
13+ years of relevant experience with at least 5 of those delivering solutions on Force.com.
Cross-platform lead to cash experience, sales and revenue process functional knowledge. Salesforce CRM knowledge would be preferred
Integration experience with 3rd party tools/apps
Multiple SFDC certifications preferred.
Has served as an application architect for multiple enterprise application implementations (including complex integrations).
Proficiency in the software development lifecycle, code management, and release management. Agile development experience preferred.
Familiarity with data quality management concepts.

Ability to operate in a complex environment of multiple projects and stakeholders and to participate in several projects simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or related program is preferred.
