Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) supports customers throughout their Cloud transformation and SAP S/4HANA adoption journey. We run the Intelligent Enterprise so that they can be Intelligent Enterprise. Our portfolio of SAP RISE Private Cloud and SAP Cloud Application Services turns SAP products into a solution-as-a-service on customer’s preferred infrastructure, including Hyperscalers, as one SAP. ECS continues to be a differentiator and a key contributor to SAP’s Cloud Business and stated 2025 goals. The stellar performance in all key metrics in 2022 for ECS is a testament to our customers reaping substantial value from our Offerings. The “Strategic Deal Engagement Officer” is a central function within Regional ECS for requirements from our strategic customers.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a hands-on, experienced Professional with exceptional program management skills to be a part of this team. The role is highly visible and comes with the charm of both technical and business sides to it.

The Role

Drive early engagement w. customer facing teams to address ECS related topics that come up during negotiations for SAP’s most strategic customers/top deals

For the top deals, orchestrate diligent and comprehensive review spanning various dimensions (commercial, technical, financial, organizational), record results and share summary with the

delivery teams (CDE, Delivery) – ensuring a smooth transition from sales to delivery

Assess risks as applicable, quantify, devise mitigation strategies

Build solid engagement with regional experts from CTO, Delivery, and Customer Delivery Engagement, and drive improvements to requirements and exception scenarios

Be watchful of the macro trends, engage with the Regional ECS leadership and Delivery teams to validate ways to address

Support with customer discussions as necessary to create transparency on ECS processes, frequently asked topics

Flexibility during Q ends and to support deals with a short lead time to closure

What you bring

University Degree in Software Engineering, Electronics, or a closely related field

Strong understanding of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services, its portfolio, partners, markets, and competition

Superb business and technical acumen, highly collaborative.

At least 10 years of relevant professional experience

Experience in at least two of the following disciplines: consulting/technical architecture, presales, commercials/finance operations
