SAS Institute Inc Looking for Sr Network Engineer at Pune, Maharashtra Full Time

As a Information System Engineer , you will support day-to-day mission critical operations of SAS’ complex global network. The Global Operations Center (GoC) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Operations team is responsible for maintaining operational stability of SAS’ global internal and hosting network infrastructures. The engineer performs incident management, proactive operations, implements basic requests/changes and documents team procedures.

Major Responsibilities:
Investigation and management of global and hosting network related incidents.

Proactive management of network infrastructure to help reduce reactive incidents.

Fulfill network related request and change tickets.

Produce and maintain current documentation for areas of responsibility.

Essential

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other quantitative degree

5 years’ experience supporting enterprise networks

5 years’ experience with TCP/IP and WAN/LAN networking

Additional

Self-motivated and customer service focused

Ability to interface with employees and customers of varying skill sets in a high-pressure environment

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; strong problem-solving skills

Preferences

Experience with Arista and Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches

Experience with Microsoft Azure networking

Experience with F5 LTM/DNS load balancers

Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls

Knowledge of EIGRP and BGP routing protocols
