Duties and Responsibilities
As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and member of SAVii’s Executive team you will be in charge of the organization’s technological vision, strategies and plans in accordance with the SAVii’s goals and northstars;
Tech and Business Strategy:
Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships for SAVii
Drive achievement on SAVii’s roadmap by collaborating with other teams e.g. Product Management, Program Management, Risk and Data Science
Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs
Create a timeline for development and deployment of technology services
Manage and optimize infrastructure assets to satisfy internal financial targets
Work with compliance team to reduce the risk of technological breaches and protect sensitive digital information of the company and its clients
Respond to feedback from stakeholders and use it to make improvements or adjustments needed to our technology
Make executive decisions regarding our company’s technical enhancements
Communicate our technology strategy to our partners as well as investors
Leadership and People Management:
Monitor OKRs and performance metrics for tech team
Work with People team strategically in acquiring and developing the best tech talents in the region
Make executive decisions on manpower planning based on the company’s tech requirements
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Abide by and perform to the best of your abilities all functions, duties, and responsibilities to be assigned by the Employer in due course
Comply with the orders and instructions given from time to time by the company through its authorized representatives
Shall not disclose any confidential information in respect of the affairs of the company to any unauthorized person
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
A minimum of 12 years experience as senior technology leader with 3+ yrs as a CTO (preferably in fintech startup)
A strategic thinker with strong business acumen
Well versed with current technological trends and has a deep knowledge of modern software engineering practices (agile, devops etc)
Working knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python and Javascript and have experience with AWS
A Technology Evangelist, thought leader in software development, cloud computing, data engineering, machine learning, and cybersecurity
Ability to create and execute a technology vision and strategy aligned with the SAVii’s goals and northstars
Experience in leading, managing, and mentoring a diverse and high-performing technology team
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Unwavering willingness to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs
