Job Role: IT Security Auditor (Part-Time)
Position Summary:
We at Sennovate are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Security Auditor to join our team on a part-time basis. As an IT Security Auditor, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating our organization’s information systems and technology infrastructure to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Your role will involve conducting audits, identifying vulnerabilities, recommending security enhancements, and collaborating with the IT team to implement necessary security measures. This is a critical position that contributes to the overall security posture of our organization.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive IT security audits to assess the effectiveness of our organization’s information systems and technology infrastructure.
· Identify potential security vulnerabilities and risks, and recommend appropriate countermeasures and security controls.
· Evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of existing security policies, procedures, and practices.
· Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement security strategies, standards, and guidelines.
· Provide guidance and support to the IT team in the design, development, and implementation of secure systems and applications.
· Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to proactively identify and address security weaknesses.
· Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in IT security.
· Prepare detailed audit reports documenting findings, recommendations, and remediation plans.
· Conduct periodic security awareness training sessions for employees to enhance their understanding of security practices and policies.
· Assist in incident response activities, including investigating security incidents and providing guidance on containment and remediation.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT security auditing or a similar role.
· In-depth knowledge of information security principles, concepts, and industry standards.
· Strong understanding of network and systems architecture, infrastructure, and protocols.
· Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or COBIT.
· Proficient in conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
· Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and SIEM solutions.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
· Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM are highly desirable.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
This is a part-time position with flexible working hours, typically requiring 20 hours per week. The compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
