IT Business Analyst is responsible for identifying and defining the business needs of their clients and stakeholders and helping to determine solutions to meet business needs or resolve business problems. The role may be part of an IT project development environment or an individual contributor at the business interface.

Shell is looking for talented Business Analyst skills to join our IT team in Bangalore working as one team together with other Shell IT hubs globally (London, Houston, Netherland)
Business Analyst will primarily support the Design Engineering Capability where you will be working in projects for Shell Mobility. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to participate in delivering IT solutions in Shell Mobility which is the shopfront and the face of Shell. What’s the role
Able to link technical solutions with business strategy when working with business partners.
Precisely capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, including health, safety, security, usability, data, and supportability considerations.
Translate business requirements into functionality and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options.
Assess and model processes, data flows, and technology to understand the current value and issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Create clear documentation to communicate requirements and related information; keep updated to align with the solution over the project lifecycle.
Ensure traceability of requirements from business needs and requirements, through testing and scope changes, to final solution.
Interact with software suppliers, designers and developers to understand software limitations, deliver elements of system and database design, and ensure that business requirements and use cases are handled.
Configure and document software and processes, using agreed standards and tools.
Create acceptance criteria and validate that solutions meet business needs through defining and coordinating testing.
Participates in team effort to create new best practice material based on identified gaps. Serves as an SME for specific tools, techniques, or business areas.
Volunteers for community leadership roles. Supports the regional networks through leading activities, presenting topics, and coaching others.
Participates in industry IT BA related activities such as IIBA webcasts and/or chapter meetings and applies learnings within Shell including sharing of learnings.
What we need from you
Typical Years of Experience: 5-15+ years of Business Analysis experience in Corporate IT
Minimum Education or Certification: Bachelor’s Degree related to IT
Experience working in Agile projects and educating stakeholders including Product Owners and Business partners in Agile ways of working
Experience in Agile tooling (ex -VSTS).
Experience working in Distributed teams globally.
Expertise in working on Retail IT Landscape, having an understanding of Point Of Sales, Back Office System, Head-Office System and functional domains like Loyalty, Non-Fuel Retail, Mobile Payments, Cards Payments & Settlements, Fleets Solutions and Fuel Site Operation, etc.
Familiarity working with diverse market landscape, platforms/ products etc.
Knowledge of the technology landscape including current and future developments and the most commonly available products and integrated solutions, or a demonstrated ability to learn it.
Ability to take a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving and attention to detail.
Has a comprehensive knowledge of the technical aspects of IT Business Analysis.
Able to act as a focal point for a specialized area (technical or business)
Able to lead teams while managing multiple competing priorities. Has a comprehensive understanding of business process improvement, benefit and risk management.
Strong interpersonal skills, communication, presentational skills and stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrates a concern and aptitude for considering the user’s perspective in IT development and has a deep understanding of user aspects of interactive systems.
Has comprehensive understanding of business process related to Retail processes
Preferable experience on one of the following:
Technology Stack/Product/Platform – SAP Hybris, SalesForce CRM, Cloud Integration, Data analytics – Azure, Rest API
Retail Product/Platform – Petrosoft, Dover, Orbis, Fuel Diebold Nixdorf
