The role of the IAM Solution Architect is to define new IAM solutions and support the expansion and improvement of existing solutions. In addition, the role requires contribution to the development and maintenance of the IAM Production Services and associated technology roadmaps. The architect advises on how to best leverage and take full advantage of new solutions to realize value within the Shell businesses. Most solutions are applicable to entire Shell Enterprise.
Where you fit in:
The IAM Solution Architect provides guidance to other Reference and Solution architects on standards, deployment patterns and maintains the domain-specific architecture roadmaps.
The IAM Solution Architect supports the definition of the Shell Target Operating Environment reference architectures for IAM.
The IAM Solution Architect works closely with assigned supplier architect(s) and key Shell SME’s and stakeholders to determine potential use of new technologies and solutions for Shell within this area.
The IAM Solution Architect steers the technical aspect of projects, assisting in product selection, consolidating services, consulting on usage of IAM solutions and retiring the legacy.
The IAM Solution Architect is responsible for generating and maintaining Technical Architecture Roadmaps for their areas of responsibility.
What’s the role?
Collaborating with portfolio management, strategy and planning, supplier architects / service managers, supplier delivery, business IT architects, product managers from key technology and product providers to develop fully coordinated integrated strategic and tactical IAM platform plans.
Providing domain specific input into the 5-year Portfolio and 3-year TOE and the 1-year tactical platform plans.
Providing the domain specific review and input into the Enterprise architecture roadmaps.
Ensuring stakeholder management and governance of strategic and tactical technology plans.
Scan the market and develop, publish and present technology trend and strategy briefings for ITSO and business IT leadership.
Proposing, initiating and managing proof-of-concepts and system technical changes.
Reviewing IT projects for compliance with technology standards.
What we need from you?
Minimum 10 years in IT industry focused on IAM technologies in medium to large enterprises or government sector.
A university degree, preferably in Information Technology, Information Management, Software Engineering, or related field.
Aware of Architecture and Business Analysis frameworks, principles, policies, standards and governance processes (or related like TOGAF) – preferably TOGAF 9 certified
Knowledgeable in IAM Standards support Federation and Identity Governance and Administration including SAML, OIDC, OAuth, FIDO, SCIM, RBAC, ABAC and Public Key Cryptography.
Awareness of IAM policy, control and assurance frameworks that are component of NIST, COBIT, SOX and SOC2.
Knowledgeable in the following technologies: Directories, Analytics, Graph Database Design, Restful API design; Identity Governance Solutions such as Saviynt, Azure AAD, AWS SSO or Salesforce; Federation solutions such as Ping Identity.
Experience with Cloud Service Environments especially AWS and Microsoft Azure, and the security models in SAP ERP and HANA.
At least 3 years’ experience in roles where they held similar accountabilities to those listed above – preferably demonstrate experience with ‘enterprise scale’ solutions.
