The learning platform provides access to a virtual lab environment with Siemens software to learn how to use it. The learning platform is designed to be flexible, scalable, and rapidly respond to market needs and customer requirements.

Job description

Develop virtual lab environments to satisfy business requirements.

Work with Learning Services business leaders to convert their requirements into virtual lab solutions.

Able to work under minimum supervision and guidance.

Coordinate development assignments with team members to ensure a cohesive solution.

Validate the virtual lab environments are compliant with security and design policies.

Build and deploy virtual lab environments to cloud environment.

Write scripts to automate daily processes.

Document development details to support repeatability and knowledge sharing.

Provide escalation support to ensure uptime and resolve defects

Respond to issues submitted by customers and validated by Customer Service within the timeframe indicated by the ticket priority.

Coordinate a resolution plan that is agreed to by the related parties.

Develop and Deliver presentations to colleagues and business leaders

Deliver presentations to relevant audiences to inform them of upcoming plans or deployments and ensure their alignment and readiness to support the web application.

Prerequisites and essential functions

3 or more years of experience in virtual machine development including the following skills:

installing Siemens PLM products (NX, Teamcenter, Simcenter, etc.), installing supporting (third party software (Oracle, Java, MS Office, etc.), network and computer infrastructure, debugging configuration issues, debugging hardware issues, trouble shooting skills, root cause problem solving

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; any additional language is a plus

Excellent teamwork skills and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, programming or related field.
