The Information Technology/Administrative assistant has the responsibility of effectively dealing with the day-to-day IT and related administrative operational issues providing general support to users. He will work closely with and be supported by other members of the IT team.
Promptly handle assigned issues and tasks through Email/Phone/Ticketing System.
Ensure excellent customer service and teamwork practices at all times.
Perform basic office support functions when not supporting the IT team.
Carry out ad-hoc daily and weekly tasks as assigned in support of departmental operations and objectives.
Act as the local IT Systems engineer, providing support and first-line response to general IT inquiries from users;
effectively escalating IT-related issues to the Helpdesk in the Gurugram when providing first-line support to local and remote users;
Undertaking regular preventive IT maintenance to official equipment.
Undertaking regular and ad hoc approved upgrades to the system.
Ensuring all IT security procedures are complied with.
Undertaking effective fault management.
Reviewing, procuring, and installing approved hardware
IT equipment support (e.g., Laptops, Printers, Network Devices, Mobile phones);
providing IT-related administrative tasks including keeping IT hardware/software inventory up-to-date and relevant IT documentation records;
Management of IT office suppliers (including stock levels and purchasing) guided by the procurement team in Gurugram.
Providing other ad-hoc administrative tasks when required.
Coordinate with Building Facilities/Maintenance Team for office maintenance, AC, electricity, cleaning related issues and ensure resolution thereof.
Procuring office aids like stationery items, drinking water, etc.
Perform BMS functions like enabling access to new joiners.
Assist in employee engagement activities whenever needed.
Help customers to setup and configure backup application
Troubleshoot issues based on severity and resolve them within defined SLA
Provide support via Phone, Email, and Web based tools
Attend daily / weekly meetings to review enhancements and new features on Zmanda products
Document and report daily activities
Responsible to provide timely and effective resolution on basic to complex technical support queries
Escalates necessary cases to the right level within the defined LOB (Line of Business)
Ensures compliance with all company and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines
May be required to perform other tasks as requested, assigned, or directed

Requirements
Experience: minimum 5 years
Key Responsibilities:
5-8 years’ experience in an infrastructure / technical support process
Data networking
Intermediate to high level understanding of Linux/Solaris command line
Intermediate to advanced level Excel and analytical skills
Basic to Intermediate level understanding of visualization environment and infrastructure
Intermediate to advanced level functional knowledge of Windows and Mac OS
Basic to Intermediate level understanding of Database system preferably MS-SQL, Oracle
Basic level understanding of file encryption and decryption concepts and algorithm
Keen eye for detail which will aid in log analysis
