We manufacture, sell, install and finance our patented biodigester systems for small and medium scale farmers to convert their waste into economic, health and environmental benefits. Our products are unique for their simplicity of use, durability and quality.

With a team of about 500 people worldwide, we have reached tens of thousands of farms in 30 countries with clean energy & fertilizer, and we are growing fast. We are on a mission to reduce 1% of global GHG emissions and transform food systems!

By the end of 2025, our goal is to have installed biodigesters for a million people with our technology where they lack access to clean, renewable, and cost-effective energy.

Your mission at Sistema.bio

The IT Manager is one to-go person for all employees to have the technology they need to get their job done, and for a compliant and efficient operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and some of the software used at Sistema.bio.IT goes from getting our staff reliable laptops and wifi for remote workers who can’t be reached otherwise, to up-close coordination with other departments like HR or finance so data is secure.

You’ll be in charge of:
Develop a culture and policy for Sistema.bio data management and data protection.

Design, develop, implement and coordinate IT policies and procedures. (from company data policy to all IT policies like tool assignations, drive and others).

Ensure all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.

Test, troubleshoot, and modify information systems so that they operate effectively.

Develop and audit criteria and policies around vendor management to select and purchase hardware and software, when necessary (phones, laptops, printers, wifi, GSuite…).

Oversee the annual IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Manage a global and remote IT Support team and coordinate their work to fix any problem within the set timeline and budget.

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

You have at least 5 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure and services remotely in a global and multi-cultural environment, including creating processes and policies for the IT department.

You love GSuite, have been a successful Google Admin – you know everything about drive, gmail, groups, and are up to date with every new exciting feature that Google rolls out.

You love to make things work as they are supposed to work!

You have designed or administrated ticketing systems.

You regularly ask yourself these questions “What activities will we be using our computers for? What speed and redundancy of our internet connectivity do we need? What is the best way to show the team how to best use Google Drive? How are we going to deal with digital security threats?”
