S+N is launching a large program to provide Global Commercial and Supply Chain with new systems and processes to enable growth, increase service level, deliver an impeccable customer experience, allow sales reps to focus most of their time and effort on customer facing sales opportunities and reducing operational costs.
The IT Sales and Operations Manager is responsible for deploying and supporting solutions that enable this strategic program. The position requires strong leadership and experience in deploying solutions to the salesforce as well as an exposure to the logistics processes in large multi-nationals.
Responsibilities:
Recruit and develop a team of Solution Architects/ Analysts/ Developers to support the global and regional LRC (Loaner, Rental, Consignment) initiatives
Lead the delivery of the LRC projects to achieve scope, schedule, financial, & quality commitments. This includes the design and build of Global and Regional solutions in areas such as Surgery Scheduling, Field Inventory Management, Consignment Management, and Logistics
Is responsible for the quality of output arising from solution build and manage the technical integrity and architectural compliance of the solution.
Plan, direct and coordinate the efforts of suppliers and strategic partners to manage and maintain BAU services
Run the maintenance of LRC applications availability, reliability, maintainability, serviceability & continuity requirements against the cost justified service and operating level agreements for the service
Ensure that the projects metrics and service SLA are met
Evaluates and leverage new technologies to support the company growth and strategy.
Performs Level 3 support for the Sales Operations systems.
Experience and Skills:
Typically has 10 years of IT work experience, with at least 5 years in designing mobile solution for the salesforce including field inventory
Experience in Logistics and Order Management is a plus
Ability to understand and solve business and technology challenges related to the implementation of sales and logistics technologies, delivering Mobile Enterprise platforms, and designing and developing platform-based applications.
Experience in managing and deploying SaaS platforms
Agile delivery and experience working with cloud based technologies and methodologies
Experience in governing cross-functional/cross-regions solutions and ability to manage processes end-to-end
Strong communication skills, Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills to a diverse set of audiences
Ability to operate effectively in a global multi-cultural environment and drive harmonization and standardization
Experience in life sciences and/or medical device company
Experience in vendor management
Location: Pune
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Level or above in IT
Licenses/ Certifications:
Training/certification in ITIL, Agile, Project Management preferred

Requirements definition and management –
Contributes to selection of the requirements approach for projects, selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches. Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity. Facilitates input from stakeholders, provides constructive challenge and enables effective prioritisation of requirements. Reviews requirements for errors and omissions. Establishes the requirements base-lines, obtains formal agreement to requirements, and ensures traceability to source. Investigates, manages, and applies authorised requests for changes to base-lined requirements, in line with change management policy.
Data modelling and design –
Investigates corporate data requirements, and applies data analysis, design, modelling, and quality assurance techniques, to establish, modify or maintain data structures and their associated components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitions). Provides advice and mentorship to database designers and others using the data structures and associated components.
Service acceptance –
Engages with technical design and project managers or Project Management Office, to ensure correct products are produced, in a timely fashion. Evaluates the quality of project outputs against agreed service acceptance criteria.
Solution architecture –
Leads the development of architectures for complex solutions, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external, and internal customers. Takes full responsibility for the balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements within a significant area of the organisation. Establishes policy and strategy for the selection of solution architecture components, and co-ordinates design activities, promoting the discipline to ensure consistency. Ensures that appropriate standards (corporate, industry, national and international) are adhered to. Within a business change programme, leads the target design, policies and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable architecture and ensure consistency of design across projects within the programme.
Specialist advice –
Provides organisational leadership and guidelines to promote the development and exploitation of specialist knowledge in the organisation. Maintains a network of recognised experts (inside and/or outside the organisation) who can deliver expert advice in areas relevant to the organisation’s current and future needs. Provides input into professional development planning across a significant part of the organisation to further the development of appropriate expertise.
Systems design –
Embraces and adapts appropriate systems design methods, tools and techniques and ensures they are applied effectively. Designs large or complex systems. Undertakes impact analysis on major design options and trade-off. Makes recommendations and assesses and manages associated risks. Reviews others’ systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology. Ensures that the system design balances functional and non-functional requirements. Contributes to development of systems design policies and standards and selection of architecture components.
