Duties & Responsibilities
Support the implementation, construction and deployment of the Procurement systems and modules dictated by roadmap; Work with Smiths enterprise architects, data engineers, project managers and various external implementation partners to implement and support various IT systems to enable procurement transformation as dictated by Smiths Procurement Excellence Model. Implement Source to pay front end system for all Smiths divisions and geographies. Populate and maintain complex databases and apply analytical tools, techniques and systems to analyze and interpret a wide range of supplier and organizational information and options to support procurement planning and decision making. Lead workshops to determine and prioritize requirements and their scope. Analyze business requirements to create functional specifications or program specifications for software enhancements. Communicating technical reports and analyses in a meaningful way to procurement stakeholders given the complexity of procurement analysis and the time-pressured working environment. Support the employment of the IT tools in terms of addressing different users and translate them to special requirements; Ensure that documented requirements (user stories) are understood and appropriately applied in system solutions Lead IT tool development and support deployment (training, Hot line);
The Individual
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Minimum educational qualification: Graduation, preferably B-Tech/ B.E. from a prestigious institute. Good understanding of procurement processes. 6-8 years of hands-on experience in implementation, roll out and support of sourcing and procure to pay systems (upstream and downstream) like Coupa/ Ariba/ iValua. Experience in integrating front end source to pay and supplier onboarding tools with ERPs using middleware’s. Minimum 6-7 years of experience in Materials Management, Supplier Management & Purchasing modules in ERP systems (SAP/ QAD). Experience in working with ERP developers to change/ implement functionalities in ERPs to enable both way communication with front end procurement tools.
