Responsibilities:
You are the project manager and business process consultant for all IT-related development processes and improvement measures for the business, considering business developments and trends. This includes the following tasks
Definition of project charters
Supporting project sponsors to find / define the right solution
Sourcing of IT projects: define internal and external sourcing channels with required skills and availability
Planning resources and budget
Proper project planning
Project controlling and reporting
Documentation
Successful deliver of projects within time, scope, and quality
You will be responsible for the full support (both operational and strategic) of the customer relationship between the business and IT; this means, initiating, planning, managing, and controlling measures to analyze and improve the joint value creation
You coordinate, qualify and challenge all demands from the business and bundle them in a meaningful way
As a project manager you are responsible for the integration of business applications in IT and deliver business value successfully
You will be in close contact with executives and contacts in internal business units on all relevant topics, such as service architecture/roadmap, projects, status reporting and costs
Attend trainings and use Project Management framework and methodology
Handover to “Business as usual”/Operations after project closure
Skills required:
A university degree in computer science or equal
5 years plus experience in IT project management and/or IT business analysis
Proven track of record in Project Management for at least one of the following areas: IT Security, cloud (Azure and AWS), application harmonization, IT infrastructure
Real IT generalist with the ability to adopt to new IT topics very fast
Extensive strategic business relationship management experience
Coordinating people from various other business units, work in a multicultural matrix organization
Good communication and presentation skills, combined with organizational skills and good networking and relationship skills
Empathy and a flair for managing the needs of internal business units at eye level
Enjoy independent work, entrepreneurial thinking as well as goal-oriented and structured way of working
You are fluent in English
Very strong verbal and written communication skills
We are looking for a “team-player” who can work on their own initiative
Project Management certification (e.g. PMP) is a plus
Additional skills to complete your profile:
Knowledge of Software AG products and internal processes is a plus
Previous management of international acting teams is a benefit
Agile and lean practices are a plus
