The Role Responsibilities
Job Summary
We are looking for a candidate for providing application support for the bank’s strategic ecommerce FX platform who can work with business and meet their (trading and sales) expectations.
The candidate should have prior front office experience supporting similar applications and have strong technical and communication skills. The candidate should be adept in prioritizing and judging the nature of the issues and be able to context switch between issues and address and resolve them.
Core Responsibilities
Perform root cause analysis and problem management effectively through engagement of multiple teams.
Liaising with multiple teams within and outside the bank to resolve key production impacting issues.
BAU Application support for the Financial markets Ecommerce business for Fixed Income Products.
Working closely with Trading and Sales Desks to support Foreign Exchange ecommerce platform.
Put forward ideas to improve automation and / or efficiency, and own through to implementation.
Coordination and implementation of release deployments and major infrastructure delivery.
Own and define roadmap for Monitoring and automation requirements of the platform.
Continuously look for opportunities to increase efficiency within the team.
Participate in weekend on-call and public holiday support rota.
Drive best practices within the wider production support team.
Participate and strengthen the Disaster Recovery / BCM drills.
Adhere to Change Control and Fault Reporting Procedures.
Drive high severity incidents and conclude to resolution.
Performance / stability reviews / improvements.
Operational Risk Management.

Business
Financial Markets Production Management (FM) is the “Run” backbone of Financial Markets Technology. This includes supporting of front-to-back business applications used by Financial Markets Front, Middle and Back Office, as well as related functions such as Finance, Compliance. On top of that, FM Production Management is responsible for trading floor infrastructure, design and delivery of infrastructure demands from FM CIO, while maintaining Audit/Regulatory commitment at highest standard.

Our Ideal Candidate
Required Technology Knowledge
Strong shell / Perl / Python scripting skills. Ability to automate manual task and seek continuous improvement in support performance.
Good understanding in networking concepts and ability to troubleshoot and understand latency issues.
Good understanding in infrastructure setup, OS memory management, capacity review.
Experience working with Ansible, Docker, GIT / Bitbucket, ELK stack, etc.
Very good knowledge of ITRS Geneos / Oracle SQL / KDB.
Proficiency in operating in Linux env.
Experience / Specific Knowledge of the following would be an added advantage
Strong functional knowledge of Financial FX products like spot, swaps, NDFs, etc.
Strong functional knowledge of Financial Rates productions like Bonds, Treasuries, etc.
Knowledge of FX FIX connectivity and Client onboarding.
