Charles River Development is rapidly growing its Software-as-a-Service platform. We are looking for a hands-on, well rounded solution and support engineer for our growing Infrastructure Support team. This team is responsible for the design, administration, and daily operation of critical systems used to support our clients’ Production, Disaster Recovery, and Test environments. The team also helps to develop new support services and architects our core infrastructure. The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created first open front-to-back platform – State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.

What you will be responsible for
As a Network Engineer you will
Familiarity with Azure Subscriptions, Resource Groups, VNETS and Subnets.
Effective routes and UDR’s
Azure Firewalls and Palo Alto in the Azure cloud along with Panorama
Working knowledge of of Layer 4 and layer 7 load balancing and the use Azure application gateways
Working knowledge of different flavors of site-to-site VPN
Working knowledge of building VPN from physical datacenter to Azure cloud using Azure VPN gateway
Familiarize and show competency with execution of Disaster Recovery Procedures.
Provide production infrastructure support for our large and complex base of live clients.
Manage, monitor, and troubleshooting azure networks with strong focus on continuous improvement.
Create and maintain detailed documentation and service topologies.
Establish, maintain, and adhere to CRD technical standards, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate with business and software teams to create/streamline/automate support processes.
Follow the ITIL Process in managing Support tickets.
Must open to work in 24 * 7 shifts.
Participate in periodic weekend maintenance rotation.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience working with various networking technologies in the cloud.
Operational experience on an infrastructure/network administration supporting production systems.
Knowledge on networking, firewalls, load balancing, VLANs, VPNs, etc.
Understanding of related Azure technologies – Vnets, Hybrid VPNs, Express Routes, Virtual network Gateways, hybrid VPNS, express routes, BGP, Azure Firewall, Palo Alto Firewall, App gateways.
Basic Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Git, etc.
Understanding of file transfer and web protocols (ex: FTP, SFTP, HTTP/S)
Professional IT certifications are a plus
