The application Rationalization analyst is a strategic role, contributing in a meaningful way to the future of State Street technology offering. Collaborating with the Product Offering Lead, development managers, finance, and others in Global Technology Services (GTS). The primary focus of the role is on planning and managing application retirement activities to meet the GTS application retirement goals, this position involves extensive interaction with application and business owners and other key stake holders in getting retirements to closure, Candidate should exercise independent thinking, multi-task activities, set priorities, and meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must have strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and be interested in working in a professional and team-oriented environment.
What you will be responsible for
Deep dive into an application to determine its fit with our future strategy and opportunity for rationalization.
Work closely with application owners and business stakeholders to get the application retirement activities to closure.
Work closely with OOA/ Infrastructure and Service now teams in processing the retirement tasks.
Manage team activities, set and manage deadlines, establish and implement process tracking and reporting leveraging a standard toolkit.
Conduct comparative analysis of applications, e.g., feature / function, quality of service, cost, technical stack to facilitate decision making by the Office of Architecture and executive management
Identify and structure appropriate working groups to execute on our rationalization plans.
Work with delivery teams to ensure execution on timelines and in alignment with strategy

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in any field, IT CS would be a Bonus.
7-10 years’ experience in a technology strategy role, project management or business analysis
Experience in working with global teams is mandatory
Demonstrated prior experience performing application related analysis in financial services
Experience developing roadmaps, including costs, timelines, and dependencies, to articulate enterprise vision and strategy
Proven project management experience and supervision of teams in process analysis .
Competencies required: analytical/problem solving skills, business/industry knowledge, communication versatility, information technology acumen, project management skills, multi-tasking, time management, teamwork, strong attention to detail.
Client engagement and expectation management across project life cycle.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, globally structured, and team-based environment, as well as independently.
Strong sense of urgency when performing tasks and projects; ability to respond to shifting priorities.
